SME Office Support has been established to provide professional and efficient secretarial and administrative support and Microsoft Office training to entrepreneurs, small and medium sized businesses throughout the UK. I have over 30 years’ experience working in a variety of roles as PA, Event Coordinator, Sales & Marketing Administrator and Microsoft Office Trainer and have developed a rare combination of organisational and time-management skills; great attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and handle deadlines efficiently. My specialism is using technology to streamline processes to achieve business objectives. Some examples are:
University of Derby: Created a Microsoft Access database to project manage plagiarism cases. This was used by key members of the team. Prior to the database there was no central source and information was disjointed
Clegg Construction: Sourced and procured 3D page turning software (Desktop Author). Familiarised myself with the software and created digital promotional material published to web and business card shaped CD.
MHA (Methodist Homes for the Aged): Created an Excel database to reduce duplication and capture and disseminate resident data to staff. The database produced various reports and invoices and helped to efficiently manage the processes and procedures for resident admissions/departures.
I am extremely enthusiastic and committed which is reflected in my role as a Virtual Assistant. Although I am an independent contractor it is extremely important to me to build trust with every client as it is vital to the long term VA-Client relationship. I am proactive and take initiative and bring ideas to the table to benefit my clients business. Some personal qualities about me (so that I don’t come across as too mechanical) are that I am very much a ‘people person’. I believe that I have a natural affinity with the elderly and enjoy their company. I work at Willowcroft Care Home a couple of days a month as a Dementia Awareness Facilitator training staff at as well as being a Volunteer. This work has reinforced the respect and admiration I have for the older generation and I feel privileged to be part of the lives of residents who live at Willowcroft. I am proud to be able to help to create a better quality of life through training staff and volunteering. Once you’ve uploaded your file it is picked up, transcribed and the finished document is saved to your folder for you to download when you’re ready. Most file types can be accepted including MP3, MP4, WAV and WMA. If you have a slightly more unusual file type, do send it over I have software that will convert just about anything.
Meeting / Action Points Only the important points / information from the audio will be transcribed. Intelligent Verbatim All audio is transcribed, any over-use of “urm” and “ah” are omitted for a clear and easy read. Verbatim Every word, sound, suggestion, stutter, hesitation and pause will be transcribed as it is heard in the audio recording. HOW LONG DOES A ONE HOUR RECORDING TAKE TO TRANSCRIBE?
The common misconception is that one hour of recording takes one hour to transcribe! Far from it! We speak much faster than we can write or type; otherwise there would be no need for shorthand or stenographers. It's generally accepted that we speak four times faster than we can type and seven times faster than we can write.
The professional industry standard allows ONE hour to transcribe 15 minutes of clearly recorded speech. It therefore takes a MINIMUM of 4 hours to transcribe a one hour recording depending on a number of factors. Please contact me for further information 07787528287 or email [email protected]

How does Virtual Assistant Services work?
How do I get the work to you? You send me the work that needs completing in the most convenient way for your business
(e-mail, post, Dropbox www.dropbox.com and face to face for local clients). The work will
then be completed according to your criteria and schedule and returned in the most
appropriate method. Where necessary, work will be sent for approval prior to final
presentation.
Can you meet the deadline? I will never undertake work which cannot be completed within the required timescales.
How will the work be presented? If you already have a clear corporate/business image I will prepare all documentation in line
with this criteria. Alternatively I can make a suggestion for your approval.
Do we need to supply you with any equipment? In most instances the answer is no. The office is equipped fully with modern technology. All
you need to do is send the work. If you have a specific software that relates to the project
(i.e. InfusionSoft) then you would need to enable administrator access and provide the
relevant log in details.
Does SME Office Support keep copies of the tasks they carry out? Unless otherwise pre-arranged between SME Office Support and the client, I will keep copies
of all work undertaken for a period of 6 months, whilst still working with the client. If for any
reason the contract is terminated between SME Office Support and the client, all copies of the
work are returned to the client and removed from my database.
Do I have to sign a contract? I ask that all clients sign a copy of the Terms & Conditions to indicate their acceptance of the
terms. Additionally, all booking forms detailing the work to be undertaken must be signed and
agreed by both parties.
