A new service is starting thisSummer 2020 in South WestSheffield. The service, calledPorter Valley in Touch, had tobe put on pause due toCovid-19, but the service isneeded now more than ever& with your help we can getstarted! The service is a jointinitiative between Age UKSheffield & the NHS Porter

such as domestic tasks,confidence in travelling orlearning basic IT skills to helpkeep in touch with family. Ifthis volunteer role soundslike something you mightenjoy & you have a little freetime each week, this mightbe the perfect opportunityfor you to have a big impacton someone's life.

Valley Primary Care Networkwith the aim of supportingolder people to feel moreconfident, maintain or regainindependence and reduceloneliness & social isolation.Following training, volunteerswill support a person overthe phone/video call or at asafe distance to provide afriendly face and teach skills

Only volunteer as much time as you are happyto, the role is very flexible!

Expert training will be provided beforehand

No previous experience necessary

You’ll be supported throughout the wholeprocess & receive a training & resource packplus emergency contact details

Volunteer expenses are covered so there’s nohidden costs

Help reduce pressure on local NHS services

You will receive a certificate from Age UKSheffield upon completion of training &volunteering

We'll need to complete a DBS (criminal record)check, on your behalf (which we pay for)
