My life at UNT has been an amazing experience. I learned a lot as an undergraduate in the department of Hospitality Management at UNT by joining more school activities, studying new ideas of hospitality industry, and experiencing American culture. Not only did my English get better, but also I learned a great deal about hospitality management. During my graduate program, I learned to develop an in-depth understanding of and strategies for problem solving in the hospitality and tourism field. Moreover, taking graduated classes guided me into research studies, extended readings, and cooperation with classmates and professors. Now I obtain my doctoral degree in the Applied Technology & Performance Improvement program. I want to be trained as an academic instructor and researcher.
Walking on campus, I am always greeted with smiles and people nod at me. UNT campus is located in Denton, which is a peaceful and beautiful county. The faculty and staff are friendly. One of my most treasured experiences is working on campus. As a student assistant in IELI (Intensive English Language Institute), I have worked extensively in an education environment with international students at IELI at UNT. For my Optional Practice Training (OPT), I worked as a supervisor in the Cafeteria on campus; therefore, I am able to have a close look in the situation which students worked in the Hospitality field. Now, I am a Teaching-Fellow. UNT is my second home and I am happy to be part of “Mean Green”!!
Come and join a great experience with us at UNT!
