Volume Conversion in Platforming
• Aromatic: Pass essentially unchanged through the reactors
• Naphthenes:
- Almost complete conversion to aromatics, above 90 RONC
- Cyclohexanes easier to convert than cyclopentanes• Paraffins:
- Some conversion to aromatics
- Some isomerization to more highly branched isomers
- Some cracking
- Many remain in product as paraffins
