Editor’s Note - Welcome to Unique EscapesWelcome to this edition of Unique Escapes. Designed to inspire the traveller in you, it is a showcase to some of the must see
places in the world; places that our travel designers can weave into that perfect holiday. Each edition focusses on some of the best
experiences in our key destinations: Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the USA.
It’s a year now since we launched Unique Escapes and this issue sees 1st Class Holidays celebrating 20 years of award winning
service to our customers. The annual Destination Canada Travel Awards were held in London earlier in March and we again scooped
the prize for Best Tour Operator to Canada for the 14th time.
In this issue we cover Canada from Coast to Coast with a trip on VIA Rail from Halifax to Vancouver that sees stops in Québec
City, Montréal and Toronto. We focus on Atlantic Canada where the scenery has a maritime air and the seafood is to die for;
Whistler, a year round destination offering the best of skiing on its two mountains in winter and a host of summer activities from
hiking to mountain bike riding, bear viewing to zip lining. We visit Vancouver and the Great Bear Lodge and we take a look at new
transatlantic air services from WestJet.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the American National Parks system and our feature showcases some of the more popular
ones.
Down under we shine the spotlight on the vibrant city of Melbourne and explore the exciting Kimberley region of Western Australia.
In New Zealand we explore the joys of a motorhome holiday touring the scenically diverse North Island and we bury our toes in the
warm sand in paradise as we visit Fiji.

Born from a desire to provide outstanding levels of service
and customer satisfaction and a “can do” attitude, 1st Class
Holidays celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2016.
Back in 1996 tired of a lacklustre attitude to customer
satisfaction, founders Paul Ainsworth and Sharon Mason left
their jobs with an established operator to set up 1st Class
Holidays in a small office in Salford Quays. “Our goal was
to give travel agents a level of service that just wasn’t there
back then. From the ordinary to the extraordinary, we had a
philosophy of supplying what the customer demanded, with
an emphasis on first class service” says MD Paul.
It’s a principle that has paid dividends as the company has
won a range of awards, and Paul and Sharon are especially
pleased to be 14 times winners of the Destination Canada
Best Tour Operator award, voted for by UK Canada Travel
Specialists. The award, presented to Sharon by Destination
Canada’s Rupert Peters at the BACTA’s in London at the
beginning of March is close to the hearts of all the team at 1st
Class Holidays.
“I’d like to thank all of our agent partners that we have
worked with over the last 20 years who have contributed
to our continued success” said Sharon; “without them we
wouldn’t be the organisation we are today and the award is
testament to the level of service and commitment we strive to
provide every minute of the day.”
Originally offering holidays only to Canada the company now
also specialises in tailor made holidays to the USA, Australia,
New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands from much larger
premises facing Old Trafford stadium. “We’ve come a long
way in 20 years says Sharon, but the founding principles of
the company still hold strong today”.

WE ARE 20 YEARS OLD
A Century of ConservationThe USA is a country of 50 states from Alaska in the extreme
northwest to Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the
Pacific Ocean. It is home to over 400 national parks, wildlife
refuges, monuments and seashores. Almost a century ago
there were no guidelines for creating a national park but
it was agreed that the pristine nature of the US should be
preserved. In 1872 Yellowstone was named as America’s first
national park and the rest of the nation and the world soon
followed suit and the national park system was created.
Here are some of the most iconic of America’s national parks.
Which one will be your favourite?
Arches National ParkLocated in eastern Utah, Arches National Park is unlike any
other park in the world. Years of harsh wind and rain have
shaped the area’s rocks into more than 2,000 natural arches,
the highest concentration in the world, as well as knife-like
fins and soaring pinnacle; this red-rock wonderland is just
waiting to be explored. Due to its warm desert climate it is a
great place to visit year round and offers an endless array of
activities from hiking to horseback riding; be sure to follow the
main trail to the famous Delicate Arch to catch the scene for
which Arches National Park is renowned for.
100 Years of USA National Parks
6
The Grand CanyonProbably one of the most famous parks of them all set within
the desert landscapes of Arizona, the Grand Canyon stands
1 mile deep, 277 miles long and 18 miles wide at its peak; it
definitely has the wow factor. For classic views head to the
iconic South Rim and those who dare can experience the
Skywalk; a platform made of glass which projects about 70 feet
from the Canyon’s West Rim. For a more secluded experience
visit the remote North Rim or why not even take a helicopter
ride to experience a bird’s eye view of the canyon. The sunset
over the Grand Canyon is not to be missed.
Acadia National ParkSituated along the Atlantic Coast Acadia National Park is home
to lush forests, soft hills and an abundant array of wildlife.
Take a hike to the top of Cadillac, the highest point on the
North Atlantic seaboard for breath-taking views of this vast
192 hectare park; be sure to visit this national park during the
famous Fall season and witness the spectacular autumn colours
New England is famous for.
100 Years of USA National Parks
7
Monument Valley
Florida’s EvergladesEverglades National Park is one of the most diverse ecosystems
in the US and can be found right on Miami’s doorstep in
Florida. The park protects an unparalleled landscape of
swamps, marshes and tall grass prairies that are home to
alligators, manatee, over 350 species of bird and the elusive
Florida panther. The best way to explore this unique ecosystem
is to take a thrilling airboat tour; imagine speeding through
the swamplands along the many rivers and streams whilst a
knowledgeable guide points out what makes the Everglades so
special, knowing that you are not disturbing the unique plants
and animals that live there.
YellowstoneSitting in the northwest corner of Wyoming and stretching
over state borders into Idaho and Montana is the mighty
Yellowstone National Park. Welcoming over 3 million visitors
each year Yellowstone contains striking canyons, thundering
waterfalls, hundreds of bubbling mud pools and the iconic Old
Faithful; tourists travel far and wide to watch this magnificent
geyser erupt. The park boasts a variety of different hiking trails
taking you through the Lamar Valley and along the ledges of
the “Grand Canyon” of Yellowstone. Stray off the beaten track
to find peace and quiet, the further you go out the more likely
you can spot some of the park’s famous wildlife.
8
Yellowstone’s Grand Prismatic Lake
The Best of the Rest...With over 400 national parks in America it is impossible to
mention them all but it’s safe to say there is something to suit
everyone. In Utah enjoy in-park lodging at Zion National Park,
twin this with Bryce Canyon and you will be amazed by the
stunning skyline views. Take a hike through Olympic National
Park in Washington or why not visit Mount Rushmore featuring
the four faces of the most influential U.S presidents.
We have a selection of holidays that feature some of the most
popular national parks; a 10 day escorted tour costs from as
little as £1044 per person; a 15 day self-drive tour from £1126 per
person. Take a look at www.1stclassholidays.com/america or

YosemiteKnown for its waterfalls, towering peaks, grand meadows
and wide-open views, Yosemite, located in sunny California is
often regarded as the crown jewel of the national park system.
Marvel at the daring slopes of Half Dome, Yosemite’s nearly
2,700-metre trademark peak, and El Capitan, the largest single
granite rock on Earth. Don’t forget to venture deeper into the
park and visit the spectacular Yosemite Falls standing nearly
740 metres high.

It’s not every day that a new airline takes to the skies
between the UK and Canada, in fact more have stopped
flying than started in the last couple of decades, but there’s
a new kid on the block this year in the form of WestJet,
offering flights from Gatwick at the start of the summer 2016
season at the beginning of May.
Now those of you that have been to that amazing country
of Canada before will probably recognise the name - they’ve
been flying internal flights across the country for the last
twenty years, and are well respected for their modern fleet of
Boeing aircraft and the standard of service provided on the
ground and in the air.
The start of Transatlantic flights from Gatwick heralds a new
chapter in the airline’s history and offers Brits the chance
to make their entire journey to, from and around Canada
entirely with WestJet. They are offering daily nonstop flights
to Toronto and St John’s; six times a week to Vancouver; five
times a week to Calgary, twice a week to Edmonton and once
a week to Winnipeg. Calgary and Toronto flights operate year
round. In keeping with the WestJet philosophy of value for
money on board meals and drinks are not included. They can
be purchased on board and hot meals can be pre-ordered up
to 48 hours before your flight. Each flight offers the option of
economy or economy plus cabins, with economy plus offering
extra luggage and larger seats and more legroom.

ACROSS CANADATHE ULTIMATE RAIL ADVENTURE

The Ocean train
12
Coast to Coast with VIA Rail
Canada is a country built on its railway, from Halifax in Nova
Scotia by the Atlantic Ocean to Vancouver in British Columbia
by the Pacific Ocean. Crossing this vast country by rail is one
of the most epic train journeys in the world, and here’s how to
do it.
Your adventure begins in Canada’s Atlantic Maritimes in Halifax,
Nova Scotia’s historic capital. Before beginning your trans-
continental adventure, you’ll probably want to spend at least
two or three nights here. Take a trip out of town to see the
famous lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove, or perhaps take a whale
watching cruise. Don’t miss the Titanic museum, or the chance
to sample some of the best Atlantic seafood in one of Halifax’s
waterfront restaurants. VIA Rail’s Ocean train departs from
Halifax at 11am and travels overnight through the provinces
of New Brunswick and Québec to Montréal, the 2nd largest
French speaking city in the world. For the best experience,
choose Sleeper Plus service and relax as the scenery glides
past your private cabin, or enjoy a panoramic view from the
dome coach. Meals are included in the restaurant car, so you
can enjoy local flavours as you travel.
Not long after 9am, your train is scheduled to roll into Montréal
station. Québec’s provincial capital offers a cosmopolitan
combination of French inspired culture, style and history. It’s
well worth spending at least a couple of nights here. Be sure to
see the Notre Dame Basilica, take in the panoramic views from
Mount Royal and visit St Joseph’s Oratory. If you’re visiting in
winter, it might be cold outside, but an underground network
of shopping malls will keep you away from the elements.
The next leg of the journey takes you from Montréal to Toronto,
Canada’s largest city. There are around 9 departures each
day along VIA Rail’s Corridor route, and your journey should
take around 5 hours depending on which train you choose.
For budget minded travellers, economy class offers a very
comfortable journey, but if you’re looking for a little more in the
way of luxury, upgrade to business class for wider seats and an
at-seat meal and cocktail service. Your journey follows the St
Lawrence River and along the shores of Lake Ontario before
arriving into Toronto’s Union Station in the heart of the city.
Whilst you’re in Toronto, be sure to take the trip to the top of
the CN Tower for amazing views over the lake, perhaps visit
the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame, and the Eaton Centre is a must for
shopaholics. Since it’s only a 90 minute coach ride away, you
might want to make time for a day trip to Niagara Falls.
Next comes the really exciting part of the journey, The
Canadian train. This thrice weekly service covers 4,466kms
(nearly 2,800 miles) from Toronto to Vancouver over 4
nights crossing prairie farmland, passing countless lakes and
traversing the Rocky Mountains along the way. It truly is one of
the world’s best train journeys. If you’re on a budget, economy
class travel will give you a comfortable reclining seat, but for
4 nights you might well prefer a bed, more privacy and meals
included in the restaurant car. If so, then you can choose
between Sleeper Plus and Prestige Class. (continued over)

Vancouver
The Canadian train
Sleeper Plus class gives you the choice between semi-private
berths or a private bedroom. Sumptuous meals are included
in the restaurant car throughout your journey, and you’ll have
access to lounge cars and dome coach seating too. For real
luxury however, then Prestige Class is the choice to take if your
budget allows. This new service offers passengers spacious
private cabins with comfortable seating by day and a double
bed facing the window at night. You can expect personalised
service, priority baggage handling, and perhaps most
importantly, complimentary drinks including champagne!
On the evening of your departure from Toronto, check in
your luggage at the station and get settled into your onboard
accommodation. You’ll need to pack an overnight bag for the
journey as suitcases have to be carried in the main luggage car.
At 10pm the train will roll out of the station and cruise slowly
out into the Ontario countryside.
Meals are part of the experience for Sleeper Plus and Prestige
passengers. In the morning, make your way to the restaurant
car for a hot Canadian breakfast including bacon, eggs and
pancakes. Lunch and dinner brings three courses of Canadian
specialities from salmon to Alberta beef, you won’t go hungry!
Time takes on a different meaning on your cross-Canada
journey. Sometimes the train will halt to let a freight train pass.
The schedule is very much a guide rather than an accurate-to-
the-minute timetable. The journey is designed to be leisurely
and unrushed. So forget the clock and just enjoy the scenery
and the food. When it’s dark, the scenery might not be as
visible, but the night sky is just as spectacular. You might even
catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights if you’re lucky.
After 2 days you will find yourself close to the geographic
centre of North America in Winnipeg. The train will stop for
around 4 hours and you can take the opportunity to get
off and explore the city. Next you will cross Saskatchewan
and Alberta before your train starts to climb into the Rocky
Mountains. A stop is made at the resort of Jasper and many
people choose to break their journey here for a few nights
amongst spectacular mountain scenery before reboarding the
next train coming as it comes through town a few days later.
Leaving Jasper, you’ll enjoy some of the most spellbinding
scenery of the entire journey as the train heads past Mount
Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies and crosses
the Continental Divide at the Yellowhead Pass. Your final night
onboard the train will see you crossing the centre of British
Columbia en route to Vancouver, your final destination.
On arrival in Vancouver, you’ll disembark at Pacific Central
station and be reunited with your baggage. You’ll almost
certainly want to spend a few nights in this city with its
spectacular mountain backdrop. Vancouver offers an amazing
selection of world-class hotels, Pacific fusion restaurants and
trendy bars, so you’ll have no trouble finding a quiet corner
to sit back and reflect on your epic cross-continental journey
that has brought you over 4000 miles across the 2nd largest
country in the world. What an experience!

From the pristine beaches and rugged red cliffs of Cape
Leveque to the surreal bee-hives of the Bungle Bungle
Range, and the hidden waterfalls and hot springs of El
Questro Wilderness Park, the Kimberley is like nowhere else.
In the north west corner of Western Australia, lies one of
the world’s last great wilderness areas. Expanding for an
astonishing 423,000 sq kilometres (three times the size
of England), and with a population of less than 40,000,
fewer people live in each square kilometre of this awesome
landscape than almost anywhere else on earth. It has been
stable for some 2,400 million years, which means it is home
to some of the oldest rock formations and eco-systems in the
world.
This prehistoric land is bursting with natural wonders, from
the extraordinary bee-hive like Bungle Bungle Range to the
world’s only Horizontal Waterfalls, and the coral gardens and
abundant marine life of the Rowley Shoals. You won’t find
her listed in the credits alongside Nicole Kidman and Hugh
Jackman, but the Kimberley really stole the show in Baz
Luhrmann’s epic romantic adventure, Australia the movie.
This wild rugged region also offers gems of a different kind,
being home to the world’s largest supply of pink diamonds,
the rarest and most valuable of all diamonds (worth 20 times
more than white diamonds). The region also has one of the
oldest and largest collections of rock art, with thousands
of engravings including what is thought to be the first
depiction of a human face. Feel humbled by the stories which
communicate the age of this ancient land.
For a true taste of the distinctive lifestyle and culture of the
east Kimberley, visit during the Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley
Muster, a two week cattle rounding festival held each year in
May.
The Kimberley’s majestic red gorges which blaze in the late
afternoon sun, friendly locals, big skies, iconic boab trees and
hidden oases, make it a worthy Australian icon.

the dry season between May and October, it transports you
through the region’s frontier history, Aboriginal culture and
breathtaking natural wonders.
Why not let a local take charge on a small group tour?
A number of escorted trips run along the Gibb, as well
as to other must-visit spots like Cape Leveque, a coastal
paradise north of Broome, where aboriginal communities
nestle between the rusty-red outback and glinting beaches.
Knowledgeable guides take the wheel, leaving you free to
spot waterfalls and wallabies. It’s the perfect option for those
short on time, with highlights tours taking you to the most
gorgeous spots in as little as three days. But with so much to
see as well as the chance to stay at exclusive safari camps,
you’ll find yourself drawn to longer adventures.
Culture vultures will want to swap horse power for the back
of a camel. Aboriginal Elder Harry Watson takes visitors off
the beaten track and into the heart of his people’s history on
his camel safaris across the Grant Ranges.
Days are packed with dreamtime stories, ancient rock art
sites, and wildlife spotting amongst timeless landscapes.
Harry will share traditional tracking skills and help you wrestle
a barramundi from the Fitzroy River before a night out under
the stars.
Prefer your adventure laced with 5-star luxury? Then you
will love the cruises which explore the remote coastline.
We said cruise, but this is not cruising as you know it. Think
ships small enough to glide under cascading waterfalls and
along turquoise rivers. Helicopters and speedboats are on
hand to take you up close to tropical reefs, oyster-hunting on
deserted beaches or croc-spotting. All this plus top quality
chefs and marine biologists on hand to point out dugongs
and humpback whales. Hop on at Broome, Wyndham in the
East Kimberley or even Darwin.
Did we mention horse treks, walking holidays and aerial
safaris are all available too? No wonder the Kimberley attracts
so many admirers from David Attenborough to Nicole
Kidman.

A NEW ZEALANDMOTORHOME ADVENTURE
Maui Motorhomes

After a wonderful two days we packed up our motorhome
and travelled back down towards Auckland. Driving along
the open road as you pass rolling hills, lush greenery and
local wildlife with the sun beaming down on you through the
window, life doesn’t get much better than this. That night we
decided to stop in Takapuna on Auckland’s North Shore, we
relaxed as we watched the sunset over Auckland’s skyline;
this is why we had a motorhome, so we didn’t miss moments
like this.
The next morning we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and
watched the vibrant city of Auckland come to life as the
locals headed to work, then headed past the city and around
the Firth of Thames to the Coromandel Peninsula. We decided
on Whitianga as our base and had a great time visiting the
famous Hot Water Beach where we dug our own hot pool; be
sure to be there within two hours either side of low tide to
get the best experience. We went kayaking in Cathedral Cove
and hiking in the Coromandel Ranges before we were on the
move again and heading south along the coast to the Bay
of Plenty, known for its Maori villages and beach resorts. We
chose a pleasant spot in Whakatane that had its own thermal
hot pools, and visited the smoking volcanic White Island
on a helicopter trip and took a jet-boat ride across majestic
Matahina Lake and through the rapids on the Rangitaiki River.
(continued over)
Our product manager Brian sets off with his wife on a tour
on New Zealand’s North Island. Here’s what he had to say.
It was one of those lightbulb moments as we passed a
Romany family in a horse drawn caravan at the side of the
road in Ireland. How cool would it be to do something like
that on our upcoming trip to New Zealand? Well, the horse
drawn caravan was out of the question, but the maui beach
motorhome waiting for us at Auckland was more than we
expected, and after the helpful staff had explained how
everything worked off we set on our journey of discovery.
En-route to the Bay of Islands we stopped at the Footprints
Waipoua encounter; home to some of the largest remaining
kauri trees. A local guide took us through the Waipoua Forest
to the largest and oldest (2000 years old) Kauri tree, known
as the “Father of the Forest” there was something mythical
learning about the Maori culture and meeting their ancestors.
It was great having the freedom to pull over and take in
the breath-taking views before us as we headed to the Bay
of Islands and settled into the local holiday park there. We
spent two nights in Paihia and did some excellent excursions
including the famous Hole in the Rock Cruise and even
treated ourselves to a spectacular helicopter flight over the
Bay of Islands; all I can say is wow! It was great to head back
to our home from home at the end of each day; we never
missed a sunset as we cooked local delicacies on the BBQ.

Discovering New Zealand’s North Island
A couple of days later and we were enjoying some stunning
scenery with the sea on one side and the Raukumara Range
on the other as we made our way along the Pacific Coast
Route towards Hawkes Bay. We stopped off to see the oldest
Pohutukawa tree in the country at Te Araroa and the historic
St Mary’s Church in Tikitiki, one of the finest Maori churches
in New Zealand. We spent the night at Tokomaru Bay, a
pleasant little place where we strolled at sunset along the
crescent beach and where the sunrise next morning was quite
spectacular as we prepared our breakfast.
We followed the Pacific Coast Route, hugging the coastline
at times, to the scenic Hawke’s Bay and made our stop in
the art deco capital of Napier. The town was rebuilt after a
devastating earthquake and houses a world beating collection
of art-deco architecture. The Hawkes Bay region is famous for
its wine and fresh produce and we had a wonderful couple of
days enjoying the freshest produce and tasting some great
wines before heading for Wellington, the nation’s capital,
stopping in Martinborough on the way to taste the Pinot Noir.
We parked up for a couple of days and explored the city, set
between rolling hills and a stunning coastline and overlooking
Cook Strait. There’s a great café culture in Wellington
and some great views from the cable car that leaves from
Lambton Quay. We visited the national museum, Te Papa, and
the timber built St Paul’s Cathedral.

We’d reached as far south in the North Island as we could go,
so it was time to head back north again, this time heading for
the rugged volcanic mountain landscapes that make up the
heart of the island. We spent a couple of days in Ohakune in
the Tongariro National Park where we enjoyed a great day
hiking in some amazing scenery. Our next stop, Lake Taupo,
was formed from a volcanic eruption and its warm waters
make it a magnet for water sports enthusiasts. We cruised on
the lake to see the Maori rock carvings and took a thrilling jet
boat ride at Hukka Falls.
It was a short drive to geothermal Rotorua, our home for
the next two nights. With its smouldering lakes, hissing
steam vents, bubbling mud pools and spouting geysers it is
a place like no other. Known for its myriad of activities and
experiences from indulgent spa therapies to Maori Hangi
feasts we had lots to discover in this geothermal city. We took
a tour of Rotorua Museum located in the iconic Bath House
showcasing the culture, history and volatile landscape of
Rotorua and then decided to ride the luge! Part go-cart, part
toboggan we had a lot of fun racing down the trails amongst
the Redwood Forest. As the sun began to set we headed to
Lake Rotorua, the second largest lake in the North Island. You
felt as though you had stepped into a magical land, watching
the clouds of steam drift above the water and the bright
colours of the sun beam down onto the lake; it was a truly
unforgettable moment.
Next evening we went to Te Puia; home to New Zealand’s
Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, a live kiwi enclosure and the
Pohutu Geyser. After an informative tour around the grounds
we enjoyed an evening Maori Culture show and indulged in a
traditional Hangi.
We were nearing the end of our trip, but the next stop just
couldn’t be missed by film addicts and we drove through
some picturesque countryside to Hobbiton, the famous movie
set from the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit Trilogy’s. It
was so surreal exploring The Shire and drinking in the Green
Dragon, the pub where Bilbo himself enjoyed a pint or two!
On arrival into Auckland we took our beloved motorhome
back to the depot and spent a couple of nights in a hotel to
explore the “city of sails” before we flew back home.
As we sat at in the departure lounge we asked each other,
would we do it again? Without a doubt – the freedom it gave
us to stop and stare at the scenery, to stay over in out of the
way, often unseen places was just amazing. The motorhome
had all the creature comforts we needed and the experience
was just incredible. Next time we’ll see the other side of New
Zealand, and visit the South Island, where the scenery is so
different but the people just as friendly.

BULA!WELCOME TO FIJI
Sri Siva Subramanita Temple - Nadi
Traditional Fijian Houses - Viti Levu
Matamanoa Islands

First impressions of Fiji and it is hard to look past the
enigmatic smiles and friendly welcome offered by Fijians.
You are immediately made to feel at home and in no time you
will find yourself relaxing in a hammock with the sun beating
down on you, sipping a cocktail and listening to the water lap
against the endless white sandy beach. Yes you are in paradise
and it is called Fiji.
There are 333 islands making up Fiji and these are broken into
four main island groups - Viti Levu, the Mamanucas, the Yasawa
Islands and North Island.
Viti Levu is the largest of the Islands and home to Suva, the
capital of Fiji and Nadi where most international visitors arrive.
The main resort areas on the mainland are in and around
Denarau Marina close to Nadi and further south on the Coral
Coast. With plenty of accommodation options Viti Levu has
something for everyone.
The Mamanucas are a group of islands just off the coast of
Nadi. They are the most accessible of all the islands and can
be reached by scheduled launch transfers, helicopter, plane or
water taxi from Denarau Marina. Offering pristine white sandy
beaches, a variety of water activities, health spa options and
exquisite dining choices, it is easy to see why the Mamanucas
are the most popular island getaways. Once you arrive on one
of these idyllic islands you instantly slip into Fiji time.
The Yasawa Islands are located north west of Viti Levu and can
be accessed by launch transfer, helicopter or sea plane. These
islands are more remote and mostly offer high grass covered
peaks with porcelain white sandy beaches. With a wide range
of accommodation the Yasawa’s are popular amongst all
travellers.
The most remote and less accessed of the islands are called
North Island. This island group are north east of the main island
and can be reached by scheduled flights. Renowned for their
world class diving and snorkelling sites you will soon discover
why Fiji is classed the “soft coral capital” of the world.
A trip to Fiji is more than just a holiday. You don’t just see Fiji,
you feel it; there is a real soul to Fiji and you can sense this the
moment you arrive. You cannot help but find yourself smiling,
both inside and out, Fiji does that to you. And when it is time
to say goodbye and your hosts sing “Isa Lei”, the traditional
farewell song, and your eyes start to well up; then you know
you are part of their family and a return visit in the future is a
must.
