Outlook for FebruaryData analysis of Torrance real estate activity for January 2014 relative to the same time last year revealeda 7.1% improvement in total sales, a 6.8% increase in the median sales price, a 10% decrease in themedian days to sell, and a 23.1% decline in the months of inventory. The only quasi-negative stat isreduction in the number of available listings, which dropped 19% year-over-year.
Looking ahead it is highly probable the month of February will produce similar stats given the cost toborrow money remains comparatively inexpensive. The only concern is how the tax season might detractfrom otherwise positive trending behavior.
