This play goes to the heart of what it is like to be a child in our complex world.  The children have dreams – sometimes very big dreams – but they have fears too. Children’s Dreams and Fears is based on the personal experiences of children who were members of an arts club at Harare Primary School. It sprung from an assignment from their teacher to create a play about their dreams and what they 

want to become when they grow up.  African children have a lot to deal with. Early child marriage, various types of abuse, HIV/AIDS, homelessness, and the loss of their parents can be part of their reality. You’ll be inspired by the hopeful message of these young actors, however, because they see their potential to build a harmonious, unified world.  The Company Established in 1989, CHIPAWO is an Arts Education for Development and Employment Trust that works with children and young people in child development, introducing them to dance, theatre, music and other life skills. The Harare Junior Theatre has represented CHIPAWO at many national and international Festivals.  Manager: Chipo Precious Basopo  Running time: 60 minutes  Language: English
