What is it?

Thought crime is an occurrence or instance of controversial or socially

unacceptable thoughts. (People are punished for having a certain thought)

Examples:

(cop/kidnapping/cooking) (racist) (jihad/terrorism)

Our own examples:

A man is charged with thought crime after revealing to his wife that he thinks

about murdering and burning humans. He does not act on this crime, only

constantly thinks about it.
