Beauty Giver
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
This we’ve heard from wise ones in the past.
You have given us perceptive eyes and ears
To discover what charms and gladdens us.
Everywhere beauty awaits our contemplation
In nature, music, art, word, drama, dance,
In human landscapes of body, mind, and soul.
To behold and receive these inspiring treasures
All we need do is awaken our dulled awareness
And bring a nonjudgmental openness of mind.
Today: With a grateful heart I find
and receive beauty
