Chief EDgineerof the "Richmond," s u g g e s t e d

river mud to screen them from v iew. Tbe

p an was adopted, aDd by general order ol

the Navy Department paint of that color has

modore Moore also sugges t ed protecting the

purely a social organizat ion, d o e s not hesi­

tate to take up matters of an entirely differ­

ent nature from l.ug avowed purpose of ex i s t ­
