Expert Series
Lightfastness+++ = the 70 colours of the Expert Series have the highest degree
of lightfastness. This means that under museum conditions it is lightfast for at least 100 years!
The lightfastness has been tested according to the ASTM standard D4303.
OpacityThe Amsterdam Expert Series has both (semi-)transparent and (semi-)opaque colours. The degree of opacity and transparency is indicated by the following symbols:
= transparent (9 colours)
= semi-transparent (14 colours)
= semi-opaque (15 colours)
= opaque (32 colours)
Colour IndexThe pigments used in Amsterdam Expert Series have been indicated according to the Colour Index. The Colour Index, which was originally developed in America, is an internationally used system for pigments and dyes that have been used in all types of paint.
