“The Jerseys”
Town Hall Arts Center received eighteen nominations for the 2013 Henry Awards. This was the largest number of nominations received by any theater in town. Robert Wells was awarded Henry’s for “Outstanding Director of a Play” for The 39 Steps, and the ensemble of Hair won “Outstanding Ensemble.” In addition, Town Hall Arts Center productions won fourteen Marlowe awards.
Some 1,295 persons attended eight summer camp performances of Grease Jr. Another 735 adults and children have attended our four holiday performances of A Participation Christmas Carol. We also held multiple sessions of our Actor’s Playground -- children’s theater workshop classes for ages 5 - 18 (6 summer sessions, 5 fall sessions, 5 winter/spring sessions) that served 251 students. Our outreach program, Arts on the Move, took 35 performances and workshops to schools, day care centers, and other venues, reaching over 2,600 participants who could not have experienced our children’s theatre activities otherwise.
The following local artists exhibited in our first floor Stanton Art Gallery during 2012-13: the Littleton Historical Society, Glenn & Jane Richards, Sharon Wink, Sandy Marvin, Diane Mayer, the Littleton Depot Art Gallery group, and Susan Elliott & Friends.
