Gadgets and TTW
BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE DAY Teens bring in their personal mobile
devices to the program. Teens learn about our digital library with
help from the teen services coordinator. Let teens share and see how others’
gadgets work. Test drive petting zoo gadgets for teens
without gadgets.
Programs: BYOD
{ {WHY BYOD?• Students report that
technology is important to them in order to access educational materials.
• Helping teens learn to use technology now will help them in college and beyond.
• Teach teens about TexShare and demonstrate nonfiction offerings on Overdrive.
• Sharing devices during the BYOD and looking at our Tech Petting Zoo allows teens to understand different types of gadgets.

{MAKE A GADGET CASE• In conjunction with BYOD, teach teens how to
create their own gadget case.• Gadget cases can be expensive to buy, but
