Aerial RoboticsThe activity focuses on the development of robotics applications based on unmanned and autonomous aerial y p ppplatforms (helicopters). For this purpose, AIN has developed, in the last years full capacities in systems integration including flight control, communications and payload systems into different available mechanics. This approach allows the adaptation of the whole system to the application requirements. AIN currently operates three types of rotary wing platforms with different payload (5, 10 and 35 Kg) and maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of up to 75 Kgweight (MTOW) of up to 75 Kg.
Image / VisionThe areas of expertise are related to the acquisition and processing to multispectral images (visible, infrared) and active systems (laser) rapid acquisition of infrared images for the study of transient thermal phenomena and active systems (laser), rapid acquisition of infrared images for the study of transient thermal phenomena (PVT-pulsed video thermography) for non destructive testing, vision and image processing for quality control.
Now, the group is working on artificial perception to be applied to autonomous robots in order to the mission execution can take place in open-ended, dynamic spatial environments.
Condition MonitoringThe activity in predictive maintenance is based the development of technologies for machinery failure prevention, mainly in rotating machinery. This includes the development of ad-hoc signal acquisition and processing systems for the prevention of failures (wind turbines). p g y p ( )
The acquired experience in the integration of sensors and diverse techniques associated to signal processing, allows, also, other related projects improving manufacturing processes of several industrial sectors.
AIN has been developing R&D Projects and providing services for more than 10 years to compnies form different sectors: Automotive (VW NAVARRA, KYBSE), Paper, glass (Guardian), Chemical (Huntsman), Wind
