2012 Objective
TDTWG will continue to work with Market Participants, their agents, ERCOT, the PUCT as well as other interested parties in an effort to facilitate development of data delivery processes for the Texas Market, and monitor performance measures as directed by RMS.
Scope - Final
• Texas Data Transport Working Group (TDTWG) is responsible for:– Maintenance of a guide which describes the data transport
process used by Market Participants and ERCOT;– Maintenance of the Retail Market IT Services SLA (Service
Level Agreement);– Monitoring ERCOT’s adherence to performance targets
specified in the Retail SLA; – Monitoring market performance metrics reported by ERCOT
to the PUCT;– Continuing to support Market Metrics Activity: Maintenance
of metric templates and facilitate compliance of the PUCT substantive rule 25.88; and
– Addressing issues as directed by the RMS.

Accomplishments
ERCOT System Outages and Communications
– TDTWG continued to work with ERCOT and Market Participants to determine the most efficient manner for resolution of NAESB and other system issues
– TDTWG continued to support ERCOT resolution efforts in addressing each outage experienced and provided information to RMS

Accomplishments
• Review Retail Market Services SLA– TDTWG reviewed the Retail Market Services SLA as
needed and worked with ERCOT to assess any potential changes.
• Monitor Market Metrics reported by ERCOT to PUCT – TDTWG reviewed ERCOT reported Market Metrics
and provided a forum for Market Participants’ questions and/or issues regarding these quarterly performance statistics

Accomplishments
• Technical Connectivity – Continued to work with ERCOT and Market
Participants in order to resolve connectivity issues as they were experienced or brought forth to TDTWG.
– Interacted with ERCOT as necessary to help insure market impacts for NAESB outages were minimal

Accomplishments
• North American Energy Standards Board NAESB is responsible for documenting standards
for deregulated processes. Included in these standards is the Electronic Delivery Mechanism communication protocol that is in use today in the Texas Market (NAESB EDM v1.6)
TDTWG representatives will continue to participate in NAESB meetings, as needed, in an effort to ensure Texas retail market requirements are included in all future version releases of the EDM

• Support Market Projects as needed
TDTWG has knowledgeable technical resources available to assist the Market in moving forward with various projects.
TDTWG continues to participate in these efforts and take work as assigned by the RMS.

• Reviewed and recommended changes to ERCOT Protocol section 16.12 Digital Certificate language
• NAESB – Reviewed content of current versions from 1.6 to 2.0 in
preparation for recommending upgrade path
