What is Bhagavat Saptah?
A blissful experience spanning one week is the “Saptah”, which comprises of self-awakening discourses on the glories of Lord Vishnu’s Avatars, interspersed with cultural programs, festive celebrations, as well as chanting of the scripture.
The daily discourses are based on Srimad Bhagavat Purana (Bhagavatam), the most worshipped and beloved Hindu scripture which encompasses all the “Avatars” of Lord Vishnu, with a special focus on Lord Krishna.
The ancient tradition of Bhagavat Saptah began when King Parikshit heard the entire Bhagavat Purana from Sage Shukdev in 7 days and attained Moksha.
Why should I attend?
Participating in Bhagavat Spatah is rare and auspicious. It is considered meritorious to listen to Shrimad Bhagavat Purana at least once in a lifetime for it is said to grant lasting peace and eternal well-being to devotees and their families.
The 16 Bhagavatam discourses (each unique and covering new material) will provide time-tested, valuable insights for right thinking and happy living, and how to remain happy and peaceful regardless of adversities. These uplifting values are echoed in the lives of devotees and characters of Srimad Bhagavatam.
