Boxhill Institute is an one of the most popular educationprovider which is based in Melbourne.
This institute has many LAB and lecture rooms andthey consists of computing, electronic and electricalequipments.
The main focus of this presentation is to provide informationabout how to make better sustainable IT environment forBoxhill Institute.

This energy audit project mainly focus on 6 LAB rooms whichconsists of more ICT equipments.
Identifies the main energy consumption areas
Identifies drawback of current process
Introduce power management policies
The end result of this project is introducing what is ICTsustainability and implementing Greener ICT environment.

PCs and Monitors has long stand by time. Monitors used higher brightness.
Fluorescent Lamps are switched ON most of time.
Lack of using Compact Fluorescent Lamps(CFL)

FUTURE CHANGES
Switched off PCs and monitors when they are not in use
Adjust monitors for low brightness
Replacing inefficient LCD monitors with high efficient, low
power consuming monitors (LED)
Switched off all the laps when theres no classes. (Use
censers, timers)
Introduced power management polices for computing
environment
Install CFL lamps for each and every LAB room.
