Camp Descriptions
Youth Mini-Camp: Designed to teach the basic fundamentals of basketball along with the rules,
sportsmanship and having fun! Daily contests will be held with awards!
Fundamental Skills Camp: Designed to develop individual skills and team-based understanding of
basketball for players of all levels by appropriately scaling drills, full court and small-sided games, daily
lecture and level-based contests.
Daily Features: Instruction delivered by Hillsborough High School coaching staff and Head Boys
Coach Scott Kallens. Camps are designed to present the core philosophies of the High School program in a
competitive and supporting atmosphere appropriate for players of all ability levels. Whether new to the
game or ready to try out for the High School team, these camps will prepare you for the next level.

Daily Camp Schedule Flexibility Exercises
Warm-Up Drills Instruction Game Play
Campers will receive detailed instruction of every skill of the game based on teaching techniques and learning strategies which have proven successful in developing competitive volleyball players. They will learn key ideas behind passing, setting, serving, digging, and blocking, which will enable them to raise their level of play in each skill. There will be an ideal mix of technical instruction and playing time. Campers will be grouped based on ability.

Hillsborough Girls Softball Summer Camp 2018

Campers will be grouped by ages and ability. The camp will focus on hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running.

Brazilian Skills Training Entering grades 1 - 4

Fee: $130
The course is designed by Fairleigh Dickinson University Head Soccer Coach Tom McLoughlin and teaches children the skills that have made Brazil the most successful soccer nation in history. The emphasis is both on skill development and having fun while playing soccer. Many of the skills taught in the program are the same as those McLoughlin taught to Tobin Heath, current U.S. Women’s World Cup star when she was first learning to play soccer.
Soccer Speed, Skills, & Agility Training (SSSAT)

The course is led by Fairleigh Dickinson University Head Soccer Coach Tom McLoughlin and will give serious soccer players that hard-to-find component – more time! Players will develop the ability to execute skills more quickly, anticipate what is going to happen next in the game, and increase their technical skills while making better quality decisions both on and off the ball.

Open to all band and string students entering grades 5-12. This exciting summer program runs for four weeks starting July 2nd and will be held at Auten Road Intermediate School. The program
provides a wonderful and convenient opportunity for students to build upon existing skills acquired during the school year. Led by a staff of highly qualified musicians, the summer music program provides an enriching and engaging environment for all who participate!
Each student will receive one forty minute small group lesson and one forty minute ensemble class daily Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. Classes are scheduled according to experience and ability. Therefore, not all classes begin at 9 a.m.
Class size is limited and requests for specific classes or class times cannot be honored. Individual schedules with specific class times will be sent via email no later than Friday, June 29th, 2018. Weeks available and program fees are listed below.

Adult Beginner/intermediate* lessons (Adult Lessons ($120.00)
Intended for beginners and intermediate players. Learn a great lifetime sport. Five condensed lessons covering all aspects of the game. You’ll learn what you need to practice and develop your game. All you need is a racket. If you have never played, have not had lessons, have not played tennis in recent years or took lessons last summer and are to take the next step to playing matches. This class will help you build a love for the game or re-kindle the challenges that attracted you to the sport in the first place. *Lessons can be designed for any level. If a group of advanced player want to register please have your group contact Larry Johnson, he will assign the appropriate instructor and make sure the class lesson plans match your level of play. Tiny Tennis ($70.00) 4 x 1 hour classes 8 max For 5 – 7 year olds. The focus is FUN! Small groups in high energy class that will make you child beg to be taken to play tennis. Along with tennis they will learn: sportspersonship, cooperation, fundamental movement, and to respect the courts and other players. Signing up for multiple lessons will give participants a continuing progression of new skills and information.
