WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE ‘A YOUTH INITIATIVE’ TEAM?
A Youth Initiative or AYI was formed by members of the Muslim community in Reading. Currently in its
embryonic stages A Youth Initiative is a Dawah project aimed at the brothers and sisters ranging from 14years -
30years old. In these times of turmoil, A Youth Initiative aims to re-connect the believers’ hearts to the Quran
and the Ahl-e- Bait. As from the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) “I leave behind two weighty
things, the Qur'an and the Ahlul Bayt” (Sahih). This Ilm (knowledge) will be brought to you by leading
Scholars and teachers of the Ahl-e-Sunnah wa'al Jamah (As sawad al-azam) as the wise saying goes
“Knowledge is taken from the presence of Scholars, not the pages of books.”
“Preparing a generation of leaders who embody a combination of sincerity and high morals with an aspiration
to realise their knowledge, envision the bigger picture and have a true conceptualisation of the contemporary
context” Habib Ali 'Zain Al- Abideen' Al- Jifri.

Sahaba would crave the Suhba of the messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and would prefer
the Suhba of the Prophet (P.B.U.H) over anything and everything, such was their love and craving. The
Prophet (P.B.U.H) said “Honour the Scholars as they are the Inheritors of the Prophets,” therefore in order to
