Tristan Walker Tristan Walker is the Founder & CEO of
Walker & Company Brands. Tristan made a name for himself in the
tech industry as the Director of Business Develop- ment at
Foursquare and most recently as the Entrepreneur in Residence at
Andreessen Horowitz. This January, the Stanford Business school
graduate is launching a new venture with products uniquely tailored
to the needs of men and women of color. Walker also founded
CODE2040, a program dedicated to pairing undergraduate and graduate
African American and Latino coders and software en- gineer students

demographic shifts taking place. todays minorities will be
tomorrows majority.
2 The consumerism of technology is inspiring a new generation
of producers. Whats the one nagging problem that technology can
help you solve?
3 If you remember that your brand isnt what you say it is,
youll pay close attention to how the world perceive it. Adjust
accordingly.
4 As you evaluate opportunities, pay particular attention to
whats unpopular; its where youre likely to identify your greatest
opportunities.
5 Entrepreneurship is essentially about getting rich, building
a great company or changing the world. align your values
accordingly.
6 As you contemplate your next venture, its wise to take
seriously the one thing that you wholeheartedly believe in that
others may not - and pursue it.
