GHC was established in 2005 by the Australian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA). Every year we attract hundreds of delegates from all over Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region to engage with key global health issues.
GHC Perth 2015 aims to build on the success and momentum of previous conferences with 650 future doctors coming together at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from August 26 to 30, 2015.
Perth has been described as “a city embodying all things right about a city” by the New York Times.1 The PCEC is Perth’s premier events destination, a venue with unique and flexible spaces which will allow delegates to connect their thinking.
GHC is renowned for the high calibre of its inspiring Academic Program, with
past speakers including prominent names such as Julian Assange and Jose Ramos-Horta. Presentations and workshops encourage delegates to think about a broad range of issues, from the Millenium Development Goals to the challenges faced in Indigenous and refugee health in our own backyard. The Academic Program is perfectly complemented by the incredible Social Program which enables our delegates to meet like-minded individuals in a fun and creative setting.
GHC is the flagship global health event for medical students. Its rapid growth has only been possible because of the support of our valued partners. We thank you for your interest in supporting GHC Perth 2015 and look forward to your involvement in this exciting event.
We are proud to introduce you to the 11th annual Global Health Conference (GHC) as it returns to Perth in 2015.
