NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES
S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are an essential
component of athletics. Careers in sports sciences are connected with every
aspect of sports, from building stadiums, to coaching, video analysis, and designing safer and more effective equipment. To that end, the Nothing but Net Sports
Academy will develop our NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES program. We are seeking
educational and financial donors to become a part of shaping our kids futures.
Learning via the NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES program will make learning fun and
interesting to our kids. With hands-on experience, NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES will
learn useful skills while having fun, instead of repetitive learning and memorization.
Our kids will utilize the information bestowed upon them in real world scenarios
with results they can see each and every day.
S.T.E.M. professionals are an essential part of any athlete’s success in sports. The NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES program will develop participant’s ability to perform
successfully in the field and provide the groundwork for a successful career path. Although they may not become professional athletes, they will learn how to
incorporate their love of sports into a fulfilling and rewarding career.
We will educate our kids on statistical data capturing, data conversion and data analytics. Students will be able to provide batting averages, Earned Run Averages,
free throw and jump shot percentages.
We will educate our kids in the field of performance imaging. Through the analyzation of the data captured, NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES will be able to provide
heat maps for swings, pitches, and shots. They will learn how to test athletic reflexes. Through performance imaging equipment, they will utilize sensors to
transmit data to apps that can model a baseball, tennis or golf swing in three dimensions, track speed, angle, and time to impact, record contact points, and
capture many other swing elements. Training at NBNSA will be enhanced by
having the ability to pause in the middle of a practice session to assess
performance NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES will be able to provide immediate feedback on where our athletes need improvement, as well as documenting improvement.
NBNSA participants will be able to see data from the time they enter our programs until they leave. This is an invaluable tool for athletes who have the ability to play
sports at a higher level, as well as serve as a digital report card for overall NBNSA performance.
We will provide our kids with the ability to learn how to and create podcasts, TV/ video programming, learn play by play announcing as well as the development and
administration of websites and apps related to NBNSA programs.
We will provide our kids the opportunity to work with and learn from our trainers and physical therapists.
We will provide nutritional education/ counseling through our program. Our kids will
learn how proper nutrition fuels success in athletics and life.
We will open our kids’ minds to the possibility of S.T.E.M. careers in sports (here
are a few of the most essential for an athlete’s or team’s performance):
Sports Engineer Physical therapist Coach, Head coach Personal trainer Sports statistician Nutritionist
Sport psychologist Biochemical engineer Material designers 3D Printing engineers TV Broadcaster Producer
Website/ App developer Videographer
Most Importantly-
We will administer scholarships to our NBNSA S.T.E.M.MATES who meet the
criteria and want to pursue S.T.E.M. learning/ careers.
