Lyrics
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Is this the real life?Is this just fantasy?Caught in a landslideNo escape from realityOpen your eyesLook up to the skies and seeI'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathyBecause I'm easy come, easy goA little high, little lowAnyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a manPut a gun against his headPulled my trigger, now he's deadMama, life had just begunBut now I've gone and thrown it all awayMama, oooDidn't mean to make you cryIf I'm not back again this time tomorrowCarry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has comeSends shivers down my spineBody's aching all the timeGoodbye everybody - I've got to goGotta leave you all behind and face the truthMama, ooo - (anyway the wind blows)I don't want to dieI sometimes wish I'd never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a manScaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandangoThunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening meGallileo, Gallileo,Gallileo, Gallileo,Gallileo Figaro - magnifico
But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor familySpare him his life from this monstrosityEasy come easy go - will you let me goBismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him goBismillah! We will not let you go - let him goBismillah! We will not let you go - let me goWill not let you go - let me go (never)Never let you go - let me goNever let me go - oooNo, no, no, no, no, no, no -Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me goBeelzebub has a devil put aside for mefor mefor me
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eyeSo you think you can love me and leave me to dieOh baby - can't do this to me babyJust gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here
Ooh yeah, ooh yeahNothing really mattersAnyone can seeNothing really matters - nothing really matters to me
Anyway the wind blows...
"Bismillah" is the opening word in the Qu'ran (Koran) and literally means "In the name of Allah.""Scaramouch" according to the dictionary means "a stock character who appears as a boastful coward.""Beelzebub" is one of the many names given to "The Devil."
Title: 3 Doors Down - So I Need You lyrics
If you could step into my head, tell me would you still know me If you woke up in my bed, tell me then would you hold me Or would you simply let it lie, leaving me to wonder why I can't get you out of this head I call mine And I will say
Oh no I can't let you go, my little girl Because you're holding up my world So I need you. Your imitaion of my walk and the perfect way you talk It's just a couple of the million things that I love about you
So I need you So I need you So I need you So I need you
And if I jumped of the Brooklyn Bridge, Tell me would you still follow me and if I made you mad today, tell me would you love me tomorrow? Please. or would you say that you don't care, and then leave me standing here Like the fool who is drowning in despair and screamin'
Oh no I can't let you go, my little girl Because you're holding up my world, so I need you. Your imitaion of my walk and the perfect way you talk It's just a couple of the million things that I love about you.
So I need you So I need you So I need you So I need you
I'm on my own
I'm on my own I'm on my own
Oh no I can't let you go my little girl Because your holding up my world, so I need you. Your imitation of my walk and the perfect way you talk It's just a couple of the million things that I love about you.
So I need you So I need you So I need you So I need you
Whats my age again – Blink 182
I took her out It was a friday nightI wore cologne to get the feeling right
We started making outAnd she took off my pantsBut then I turned on the TV
And that's about the time she walked away from meNobody likes you when you're 23And I'm still more amused by TV showsWhat the hell is A.D.D? My friends say I should act my age What's my age again? what's my age again?
But later onOn the drive homeI called her mom from a pay phone
I said I was the cops And your husbands in jailThe state looks down on sodomy
And that's about the time that b*tch hung up on meNobody likes you when you're 23And I'm still more amused by prank phone callsWhat the hell is call I.D.?My friends say I should act my ageWhat's my age again? what's my age again?
And that's about the time she walked away from meNobody likes you when you're 23And you still act like you're in freshman yearWhat the hell is wrong with me? My friends say I should act my age What's my age again? (what's my age again?)
That's about the time that she broke up with meNo one should take themselves so seriouslyWith many years ahead to fall in loveWhy would you wish down on meI never want to act my ageWhat's my age again? what's my age again?
Running Blind- Godsmack
Can’t find the answersI’ve been crawling on my kneesLooking for anythingTo keep me from drowningPromises have been turned to liesCan’t even be honest insideI'm running backwardsWatching my life wave me goodbye
Running blindI’m running blindSomebody help me see I’m running blind
Searching for nothingWondering if I’ll changeI’m trying everythingBut everything still stays the sameI thought if I showed you I could flyWouldn’t need anyone by my side
I'm running backwardsWith broken wings I know I’ll die

Somewhere I Belong –linkin park
(When this began)I had nothing to say And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me (I was confused) And I let it all out to findThat I’m not the only person with these things in mind (Inside of me) But all the vacancy the words revealed Is the only real thing that I’ve got left to feel (Nothing to lose) Just stuck/ hollow and alone And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own
[Chorus] I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real I wanna let go of the pain I’ve held so long(Erase all the pain till it’s gone)
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something realI wanna find something I’ve wanted all along Somewhere I belong
And I’ve got nothing to sayI can’t believe I didn’t fall right down on my face (I was confused) Looking everywhere only to findThat it’s not the way I had imagined it all in my mind(So what am I) What do I have but negativity ’Cause I can’t justify the way, everyone is looking at me (Nothing to lose) Nothing to gain/ hollow and alone And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own
[Repeat Chorus]
I will never know myself until I do this on my ownAnd I will never feel anything else, until my wounds are healedI will never be anything till I break away from meI will break away, I'll find myself today
[Repeat Chorus]
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m somewhere I belongI wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m somewhere I belongSomewhere I belong
But its better if you do – Panic at the disco
Now I'm of consenting age to be forgetting you in a cabaret.Somewhere downtown where a burlesque queen may even ask my nameAs she sheds her skin on stageI'm seated and sweating to a dance song on the club's P.A.The strip joint veteran sits two awaySmirking between dignified sips of his dignified peach and lime daiquiri
And isn't this exactly where you'd like meI'm exactly where you'd like me, you knowPraying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivetyOh, isn't this exactly where you'd like meI'm exactly where you'd like me, you know
Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety
But, but I'm afraid that IWell, I may have faked it And I wouldn't be caught dead in this place
Well, I'm afraid that IWell, that's right, well I may have faked it And I wouldn't be caught dead in this place
And isn't this exactly where you'd like meI'm exactly where you'd like me, you knowPraying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivetyOh, isn't this exactly where you'd like meI'm exactly where you'd like me, you knowPraying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety
Well, I'm afraid that IWell, I may have faked it And I wouldn't be caught dead in this place
Praying for love and paying in naivetyPraying for love and paying in naivety, oh

Catcher in the Rye by Guns & Roses
When all is said and doneWe’re not the only ones
Who look at life this wayThat’s what the old folks say
But every time I’d see themMakes me wish I had a gun
If I thought that I was crazyWell I guess I’d have more fun
Guess I’d have more fun
the Catcher in the Rye againwon’t let ya get away from his gun
It’s just another day like today
You decideIf I don’t have toThen they’ll find
And I won’t ask youAt anytime
Or long thereafterIf it’s cold outside
I’ll be wrapped up ininto me
(Solo)
the Catcher in the Rye againwon’t let ya get away from his gun
It’s just another day like today
When all is said and doneWe’re not the only ones
Who look at life this wayThat’s what the young folks say
As if they’d ever changeThat’s not whom I to say
But every time I’d see themMakes me wish I had a gunIf I thought that I was crazy
Well I guess I’d have more funIt’s what used to be’s not there for me
And ought to find someone that belongs insane like I do
Oh noNot at all (repeat)
On an ordinary dayNot in an ordinary way
All at once the song I heard
No longer wouldn’t play for anybodyOr anyone
That needed comfort from somebodyNeeded comfort from someone who cared
To beNot like you
And Unlike meAnd then then voices ran away
From meSo now you set the wheels in motion
It Haunts our memoriesYou were the instrument
You were the oneHow a body tipped a bottleAnd Gave that boy a gunYou Took our innocence
Beyond our scabsSometimes the only thing
You got at allWhen no one else is there
Analysis by Belle42
There are numerous connections between the novel Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and the song “Catcher in the Rye” by Guns and Roses which can explain how the book
has inspired the song. In the first verse of the song, the artist is describing the character in the song as discontent towards elderly people. The character takes the advice from his
elders, however, he chooses not to follow their suggestions. This part of the song relates to the opening chapter of the novel when Holden Caulfield visits his history teacher Old
Spencer. When Holden sees him, he only notices his teacher’s bumpy chest and his scrawny legs. The advice that Old Spencer is giving to Holden at the time seems trivial to the descriptions that Holden is giving. Also, in the song there are many references to the usage of guns. For the character in the book, a gun will help them escape their problems and aggravation. Throughout the book Holden uses the phrases “it kills me,” and he also
contemplates suicide. These negative thoughts that Holden has are in response to behaviors and actions that Holden disapproves of. I think that lyrics portray many
important themes in the novel, but if I could make any additions or modifications to the song, I would include words such as “moron” and “goddamnit”, and I would demonstrate the deliberations that Holden has with himself. This could be illustrated by adding words
like “never mind” or “maybe”. Although there are changes that could be made to this song, I think that Guns & Roses was successful in creating a song based on the novel
Catcher in the Rye.
