Would you like some Tea?On the 3rd of January Miss Aurelia and Marc-Angelo
engaged in dramatic play. Marc-Angelo offered Miss Aurelia a cup of tea and then encouraged her
to drink it by saying “drink more”.
Evaluation:Marc-Angelo has shown cooperative play skillsAnd a strong bond with
an educator. More interaction with his peers
will develop Marc-Angelo’s social and
language skills.
Once Miss Aurelia had finished her tea she thanked Marc-Angelo and
he then offered her more as he lifted
the tea pot to her cup.
Follow up activity:As Marc-Angelo played in the sandpit Miss Aurelia encouraged him to pour his peers
some tea. Marc-Angelo confidently poured his peers a cup of tea and repeated there names
after Miss Aurelia.
Getting To Know My Colours! As Marc-Angelo sat with an educator on the 4th January he
was asked to identify some colours. When Marc-Angelo was identifying the colour Red he was
very confident and was able to say the word red. When the educator asked Marc-Angelo to identify the
colours blue, green, yellow and white Marc-Angelo was not confident and could not correctly identify the colours on
this day.
Evaluation:From this experience we can see that Marc-Angelo needs to further develop his colour recognition skills. To do this the team at Clever Cookies will provide Marc-Angelo with more activities such as colour matching to develop Marc-
Angelo’s skills.
I wonder what my name is ?
Evaluation:From this activity we can see Marc-Angelo is gaining
important language and social skills but still needs to work on strong pronunciation of words.
I would really like to hear Marc-Angelo confidently and correctly say his name by the end of next month.
Learning Outcome: 1.1 children feel safe, secure and supported
5.1 Children interact verbally and non-verbally with others for a range of purposes
8th March 2013
As Marc-Angelo participated in the group activity singing “I wounder what your name is I wounder if you know” he was observed
attempting to say his name. as it came to Marc-Angelo’s turn to say his name he said “Marc-eggo” which to three different carers
sounded like “my leggo” when Marc-Angelo was asked to repeat his name after Miss Bec he again said “Marc-eggo”.
Learning all about shapes!
Evaluation:From this experience Marc-Angelo gained fundamental language skills and grouping
skills. We can see from this experience that Marc-Angelo needs to work on his shape
recognition skills. The team at Clever Cookies will provide Marc-Angelo with literacy and
language lesson plans to develop his shape recognition skills
Learning Outcome: Outcome 5: Children are effective
communicators
5th April 2013
As Marc-Angelo played with his peers and the coloured shapes Miss Bec asked him to
hand her the circle unfortunately Marc-Angelo was not able to identify the shape. Miss Bec then asked Marc-Angelo to name
some of the other shapes on the table, Marc-Angelo appeared to be guessing and could not get any of the shapes correct. Miss Bec
then asked Marc-Angelo to pick up two triangles, Marc-Angelo was able to
confidently pick up two items but not two triangles. He was able to find one circle and
one heart.
Drawing ExperienceAs Marc- Angelo sat at the drawing table with his peers, Miss Bec asked the children to draw different sized fish. Marc-Angelo began drawing using the palmer grip on his right hand to hold the pencil. Miss Bec asked Marc- Angelo what he was drawing and Marc- Angelo confidently looked up at her and said “Easter Egg” Miss Bec congratulated him and watched him continue to draw.
This observation shows Marc- Angelo is developing his creativity skills as well as his language and communication skills.

Healthy Eating Week16th August 2013
As it is healthy eating week today the
Smarties helped Miss Bec make healthy
fruit skewers!To start the
experience the children and Miss Bec identified each piece of fruit, together they
then counted how many pieces of fruit they had. Once they
had finished counting Miss Bec cut the fruit into individual pieces and the children used
their hand eye coordination to
thread the fruit into the sewer.
Once all their fruit was threaded it was
time to be super healthy and eat it all
up!
This experience helps the children to develop healthy
eating habits as well as their hand eye coordination and their
counting skills.Learning Outcomes:
Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeingOutcome 5: Children are effective communicators
Principle: Ongoing learning and reflective practice.
Practice: planning and implementing learning through
play.
DEVELOPING MY LANGUAGE SKILLS On the 7th of August
Marc- Angelo spent his free time playing with
the dolls house. As Marc- Angelo engaged in the activity he was heard saying “Mummy
goes up the stairs, 1,2,3” as Marc- Angelo said this he moved the doll up the stairs of the doll house. Marc-Angelo
then moved the doll back to the bottom of
the stairs and repeated him self Mummy goes up the stairs, 1,2,3”
From this activity we can see that Marc-
Angelo is starting to explore role play while
developing his language skills and number sequencing
skills.
Learning Outcomes:4: Children are confident and involved learners.
Principle: Respect for diversity Practice: Creating physical and social learning
environments that impact positively on children’s learning
Developing My Language SkillsToday during group time on the 16th of May Marc- Angelo participated in
the song “I wonder what you name is I wounder if you know?” Once it was at Marc- Angelo's turn
he was able to confidently say his
name. Marc- Angelo held his head up high
looked at his peers and said “Marc- Angelo”.
Marc- Angelo appeared very proud of his efforts as he continued to say his own name over and
over again.
This activity and song helped to develop Marc-Angelo’s language and social skills when in a
group situation

DEVELOPING MY FINE MOTOR SKILLS8:30 amOn the 4th of July Marc-Angelo at Morning Tea was given a pair of tongs and was asked to serve himself. Marc-Angelo attempted to hold the tongs in one hand but then resorted to holding one side of the tong in his left hand and the other side in his right hand. Marc- Angelo did not try to pick up the fruit instead he pushed the fruit around the plate. Miss Bec assisted Marc-Angelo in holding the tong and picking up the fruit but once Miss Bec let go Marc-Angelo again started pushing the fruit around the plate.
10:30 amDuring a craft experience Marc-Angelo picked up a pair of scissors. Marc-Angelo held the scissors in both hands and began pushing the paper across the table. Marc-Angelo appeared to stop what he was doing to look at the other children who were also cutting. Marc-Angelo laughed and continued to push the paper across the table. Miss Bec showed Marc-Angelo how to hold the scissors by role modelling scissor grip Marc-Angelo took no notice. Miss Bec then offered to help Marc-Angelo and he allowed her. Together Marc-Angelo and Miss Bec cut a piece of paper.
From these experiences we can see that Marc-Angelo needs to be provided with more activities such as manipulating play dough with tongs and cutting experiences to further develop his fine motor and cognitive skills. Learning Outcomes:
Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.Practice: Being responsive to children
Principle: Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships
Developing My Language Skills. On the 12th of July Marc-
Angelo sat with Miss Aurelia and began
counting the shapes “ 1,2,1,4,7,8,9,10,11,1”
Miss Aurelia then asked if Marc-Angelo could
identify the shapes. Marc-Angelo correctly identified the Square,
Triangle, Star and Heart shapes but unfortunately
couldn’t identify the Circle, Diamond or
Rectangle.
The team at Clever Cookies will provide Marc- Angelo with activities such as a
shape hunt and daily counting to further
develop Marc-Angelo’s skills.
Learning Outcomes:Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved
learners.Practice: creating physical
and social learning environments that have a
positive impact on children’s learning

Developing My Counting Skills. On the 18th of July during group
time Miss Bec planned a counting experience to follow up the observation on the 12th July. Miss Bec asked Marc-Angelo to
count the cards on the floor Marc- Angelo confidently
counted “1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7” He then continued counting
“7,8,9,10,11,15,16,5,6,7 and 9” Miss Bec then encouraged the other children to count along
with Marc- Angelo and her self. Marc-Angelo repeated each
number his friends said. Marc- Angelo was then asked to cross his legs for a story. Marc- Angelo was only able to sit for about 1 minute before he began rolling around the floor and distracting his peers. Once Marc- Angelo
had his peers attention he began laughing and clapping.
To further Marc-Angelo’s counting skills and
attention span I will use items that interest him
when counting such as cars or trucks.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved
learners.Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators Practice: creating physical
and social learning environments that have a
