2015 is an important year for Singapore. This year, we band together as a nation to celebrate Singapores Golden Jubilee, and how far we have come over the past 50 years. The Singapore Night Festival is now in its eighth year, and we are very proud to have been a part of the National Day festivities each August.
Together with Singapore, the festival has grown from strength to strength over the years. From an ambitious landmark event organised by the National Museum for the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct, the Singapore Night Festival currently features over 60 festival partners, and is now one of the regions most anticipated annual events. With increasing support from Singaporeans from all walks of life, we have grown from attracting 40,000 people in our first year to a phenomenal half a million people over four nights of festivities in 2014.
This year in particular, we have pulled out all the stops with a selection of specially tailored festival highlights in celebration of Singapores 50th National Day. As part of an exciting line-up of stunning light installations, immersive activities and show-stopping performances across the festival grounds, visitors can look forward to a spectacular street parade and a specially commissioned light projection on the facade of the National Museum. For the first time, visitors can also go behind the scenes of the festival in a series of workshops and artist talks aimed at sharing their creative processes and inspirations.
Join us as we celebrate this momentous milestone in Singapores history, and create even more memories for the years to come.
