A. Preparation o& the openin/ shall %on&or! to the %riteria set &orth per AST7E99: Standard Pra%ti%e &or Ar%hite%tural Appli%ation and Installation o& 

Operable Partitions.,. The partition STC ;Sound Trans!ission Classi&i%ation< shall be a%hie"ed per the

standard test !ethod AST7 E=04== and E2154>:. Test run under AST7

 pro%edures prior to E=04== shall not be per!itted. All tests !ust be &ro! an

independent# %urrentl operatin/# NIST4a%%redited )aborator a"ailable to "eri&results.

Standards. Standard panel %onstru%tion shall ha"e obtained an STC ratin/ o& (select one) 25# 2:# 2=# 9(# 95 or 99.

1. Copies o& the 'ritten test report are to be !ade a"ailable upon re$uest. Tests

!ust ha"e been %ondu%ted at a laborator a"ailable &or "eri&i%ation o& results.

Part 3 - Execution

A. Installation.1. The %o!plete installation o& the operable 'all sste! shall be b an

authoriHed &a%tor4trained installer and be in stri%t a%%ordan%e 'ith theappro"ed shop dra'in/s and !anu&a%turer@s standard printed spe%i&i%ations#

instru%tions# and re%o!!endations.

,. Cleanin/1. All tra% and panel sur&a%es shall be 'iped %lean and &ree o& handprints#
