The company was founded by David Del Tacca, an artisan who had been working in the field of work safety since the early ‘90s, before turning to the installation of fall protection systems in the third millennium.
Thanks to the technical and practical skills gained over the years spent working in construction sites, he developed a project aimed at the certified production of fall protection systems. With the aid of a team of qualified engineers and production technicians, and thanks to its own laboratory and another laboratory certified by Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport, Sicur Delta realised its first product range in 2007, in the factory located in via C. Colombo 4 in Santa Croce Sull’Arno (Pisa, Tuscany). Driven by its constant commitment to research and experimentation carried out it its own laboratory, Sicur Delta produces cutting edge anchoring systems using the most advanced technologies.This allowed us to achieve an excellent quality standard, by virtue of which we figure among the top manufacturers of fall protection systems.
As we strive continuously to optimise our production, we already managed to design, test and manufacture the eighth range of our products, offering the most functional and comprehensive range of solutions for fall protection systems. Our catalogue is constantly updated by the Sicur Delta team, which is always attentive to the needs of the construction site, to the recurring evolution of the relevant standards and to the improvement of technical standards, as well as of standard for safety, quality and use.
One of the key strengths of our systems is the composition and assembly of components, whose combination is flexible and reflects the needs of the construction site (pole height, base plate, terminal type and/or mid-range terminal, cable length).
Our team of engineers may design specific variants, whereby the range of products manufactured at our premises allows us to realise systems “tailored” to the construction characteristics. All this contributes to making our systems versatile and quick to install, as well as easy and comfortable to use.
In addition to the efficient systems it manufactures, the company has implemented the ISO 9001:2008 quality process, which is certified by RINA, thus guaranteeing the entire business cycle, in order to supply a best-in-class quality service.This is the starting point of our daily work, which hinges upon the organisational principle according to which the systems and services we provide should ensure maximum durability while making room for improvements.

This internationally recognised reference standard for the management and improvement of the quality system allows us to ensure the continuous availability of ready stock material, which can be delivered within 24 hours of the order day across Italy (48h for Italian islands), along with a network of highly qualified business contacts with substantial technical training for fall protection systems. Further, our technical department supports the development of projects with the aid of the customer-service department, which offers estimates, technical reports and calculations, as well as direct, on-site assistance.Our team of engineers is committed to designing new fall protection devices, to developing new technologies and patents and to designing prototypes, while at the same time taking account of the continuous updates of technical and legal standards. This also involves organising technical seminars and training sessions sponsored by trade and professional associations (here are some references on the training offered: Acquario Romano – training centre for the Rome Architects Association; Collegio dei Geometri e Geometri Laureati (Surveyor Centre) based in Lucca, Italy; several Engineers associations, based in Italian cities such as Agrigento, Trapani, Caltanissetta, etc.; Genoa Construction Institute; etc.).
Some company engineers are part of technical industry boards, including the Working Group UNI “Fall Protection Devices”.
It is important to emphasise that the knowledge about our products and the relevant field is continuously transferred through education and training to technicians and installers, thereby creating a network of professionals who are kept constantly up to date on issues related to the design of fall protections; these include for example external staff specifically trained for the installation of our products, named IQS (Installatore Qualificato SicurDelta, or SicurDelta Qualified Installer). This allows us to disclose the background of experience we “earn” day by day from our work.
Our website, www.sicurdelta.it, is a tool made available to our customers for commercial and technical support: it allows them to browse and download the entire documentation concerning our production, such as sheets, CAD blocks, technical specification items, catalogues, installation manuals as well as the certifications issued by an accredited laboratory; moreover, we realised an on-line configuration tool, www.sicurdelta.net: this is a service and support tool developed to assist designers thanks to its full-blown, functional and user-friendly interface.

PRODUCTION
Both the ISO 9001:2008 and the ISO3834-2: 2006 certifications were issued by RINA Services SpA, with certificate No. 30436/14/S and 3834-601/14/S, respectively.
The UNI EN ISO 3834-2:2006 standard is a guideline that lays down the quality requirements for a proper production process based on welding. The latter should not be understood merely as the realisation of welded joints, but rather as a cluster of operations that make the production of the welded item possible. In this respect, for the production of its anchoring devices Sicur Delta developed a welding-based manufacturing process that begins with a suitable design, after which the item undergoes a control procedure concerning the supply of materials, the preparation process, the efficiency of the equipment used, the competence of human resources, and the actual welding process, up to the final audits; clearly, these steps may have some influence on the final quality of the products: each of them, therefore, requires due attention and an effective level of control.
As we manufacture life-saving devices, we know that every step taken towards improving production quality is a step towards ensuring a

LASER CUT To cut our steel we make use of laser technology, which is currently the dominant technique in the manufacturing industry; essentially, it involves concentrating a large amount of light on a very small surface; the working principle during cutting operations is fusion. Compared to other tools, it offers a sharper and more defined cut with no irregular edges (as required by the product technical standard); the creation of zones altered by overheating rules out mechanical deformations of the workpiece.
MARKINGIt is performed on a plate or on a pipe with micro-impulse seal presses, which allow direct engraving on metallic materials.
FOLDING The folding process, which is virtually fully automatized, is carried out as a cold folding procedure with Vimercati folding presses.

WELDING Welding processes and operators have been qualified by Sicur Delta.Welds are realised with the aid of an automatized Panasonic Ta 1400 platform, a 6-axis, DC arc welding robot which enabled us to achieve a fully automatized process.This has many advantages compared to conventional welding techniques, ranging from greater accuracy and weld quality to reduction of waste; moreover, parts require less reprocessing, and, most importantly, a high level of safety can be achieved by monitoring the parameters on a continuous basis.
CRIMPINGThis operation, which involves blocking steel cable terminals, is performed with a hydraulic press. This operation is irreversible, whereby an 8-mm, 316 stainless steel cable can reach an axial draw of about 40 kN.
HOT DIP GALVANISING - S 235 SteelS235 steel products are galvanised by dipping in molten zinc (“hot dip galvanising”), thanks to which the corrosion-resistance parameters prescribed by the EN 795 standard can be largely met, as proved by the salt spray test.
SANDING - Stainless SteelStainless steel products undergo a process named sanding, which helps to remove impurities while giving the devices a homogeneous aspect.

PRODUCT TRACEABILITY AND REGISTERED MARK
The technical standard EN 795 refers to the EN 365 standard with respect to the requirements for marking devices; the latter states at point 4.8.1: «…marked in a clear, indelible an permanent way by the manufacturer... ...with any suitable means that do not harm materials» With our marking systems, which are applied directly onto the components of the device (as this is made of metal), it is possible to ensure durability over time, while preventing counterfeiting and ensuring product traceability.

With its trademarks, Sicur Delta guarantees each component of the anchoring devices it manufactures, while taking responsibility towards its end customers for quality, safety and compliance with the applicable standards; as these materials, such as EN 795 devices, are subjected to technical norms, Sicur Delta imprints its own brand not only onto the device, but also on each device component.
LABORATORY TESTS AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE STANDARDS
Once it has been designed, the product range is tested in certified test facilities by THIRD PARTIES, who verify whether the products comply with the applicable standards.
Today, these tests on Sicur Delta products are carried out by DOLOMITICERT,
with the purpose of declaring whether they comply with the EN 795:2012 + CEN/TS 16415:2013 standard, with respect to the product type to which the anchoring device is associated:
• EN 795:2012 - corrosion- and deformation-resistance, dynamic resistance and intactness, static resistance.• CEN/TS 16415:2013 – dynamic resistance and intactness, static resistance.

It is called a kit because a single code includes the delivery of the whole equipment needed to realise a flexible, horizontal, single-span line, including the mounting rivets. The cable, which is not included, must be added for the amount of metres required.In order to realise multi-span lines, in addition to the required cable length it is necessary to order also the intermediate anchoring devices required.

END SUPPORTS: upper diagonal support, lower diagonal support, anchor block plate, socket eyebolt.Standard end supports can be adjusted at centre distances between the spacings of the corrugated elements of 25 cm and 33 cm (ready in factory). Is possible to have out of standard supports adaptable to distances of to 50cm.

Heliciform ENERGY ABSORBER made of stainless steel. It serves the function of absorbing the stress created by the fall of the system user, by reducing the impact force exerted on the end anchors. It is installed directly between the support head and the cable. To ensure product traceability, the Sicur Delta mark is imprinted on both forks.

STRETCHER with two welded forks, featuring a closed AISI 316 stainless steel tensioner, which is necessary to adequately regulate the cable tension. It is installed directly between the support head and the cable clamping terminal. Both threaded pins include holes in which the warranty seal can be applied.To ensure product traceability, the Sicur Delta mark is imprinted on it.
CABLE CLAMPING TERMINAL with internal nose cap for ensuring a greater hold with respect to the traction-resistance of the cable itself. It is made of AISI 316 stainless steel.Considering that the technical product standard EN 795:2012 prohibits the use of U-shaped clamps, this system increases its hold while at the same time progressively increasing the traction exerted on the cable.It has been tested in laboratory, both on the whole system and with traction tests limited to the installed cable.
WARRANTY SEAL, on which the system No. is indicated. It guarantees that the stretcher has not been used yet, and hence that the cable has not been disassembled and then re-assembled by unauthorised personnel. Whenever the system is inspected or serviced, replacement is followed by the registration of the new identification number, which certifies that system has been checked.
IDENTIFICATION PLATE, which is necessary to indicate inspection and maintenance operations on permanent systems, as well as any relevant notes and system references.

Identification and traceability of the product: to vouch for the high quality and hold ratio of the product, the cable is internally equipped with a strip marked by Sicur Delta; on the workshop-manufactured crimp the SD trademark is engraved, along with the lot number of the cable and the square footage.

Although it is mostly designed for installations on both even and sloping roofing, the Roof range is also suitable for working areas of various types with even or sloping working areas, where a pole-type support is installed on an extrados with a suitable structure, with the tubular element lying vertically and upwards.
Versatile and complete pole-type support element: the different shapes of the bases allow you to choose the most suitable model depending on the mounting support structure, while the different heights available allow you to penetrate diverse stratigraphy.

As the swivelling kit is installed on the pole-type support, different settings of the point device are possible, using the various pole bases and heights available. This, in turn, makes it possible to satisfy the needs arising from the structural fastening support and from the "roof package".

Sturdy under-tile device, which, once the system is fully installed, is almost fully concealed, as only the anchor point remains visible. It is realised with a flat profile with an overall span of 48 cm; it is chamfered in such a way that it fits all types of tiles. The shortened 3.5 cm base has three Ø 13 mm holes for connecting the support structure; it can be installed without assembling further components, and hence directly fastened onto the resistant structure; alternatively, it can be assembled on the U-CLAMP SPACER, whose height must be the same as that of the insulating package, should this be available.
It can withstand the stress transmitted along its major axis with the anchoring point oriented downstream on sloping surfaces; it is most suitable for covering ridges with tile topping.
Being sturdy, when it is not exposed to forces exerted by a fall it does not allow for roof topping movements when the operator is connected to it; moreover, it ensures long-lasting waterproofing, since its installation does not require drilling the roof.

Omega-shaped element designed to penetrate into the layers of thermal insulation installed in the roof or wall-mounted linings such as insulation coating; it works as an interface between the fastening on the resistant structure and the point anchoring device.
The holes on the upper girder allow you to assemble the element with the Vega point anchor, with which it has been tested as a unidirectional point anchoring device of type A. Each Vega device ordered (code SD00705Z/A) is delivered with the relevant connection fasteners for installation. The holes are also compatible with the installation of Mercurio and Cavetto point devices, whereby their installation requires a sub-structure that should work as a gauge.
This accessory for linear anchoring devices of type C,which has to be installed on the cable, helps demarcate dangerous areas where connection is prohibited, such as areas close to the roof edges.It consists of an oval steel plate featuring a rear-mounted, protruding flap with double punching, which allows you to fasten the device on the cable, thanks to the two cable clamps provided with the accessory.
