From our Clergy Team
There have been a number of events that have taken place in our parishes
over the past few weeks that I want to publicly thank our hardworking
volunteers for:

Thanks to the volunteers at Saint PatrickSaint Stanislaus who
organized their annual parish picnic a few weeks ago. Lots of hands were
involved in making cookies, setting up tents and tables, and serving the
food that was prepared by Common Plea Catering. The Lord certainly
provided a beautiful day for this gathering.

Thanks to the large number of folks at Saint Nicholas who welcomed the large number of guests who
attended the Mass celebrating the 125
th
Anniversary of the Croatian Fraternal Union. The hospitality that
was provided was recognized by many that day.

Thanks to all at Most Holy Name of Jesus and Saint Anthony Chapel who organized the beautiful Mass
of Anointing and the Oktoberfest celebration, both of which were held over the last two weeks. The Mass
was an effective witness to the healing power of God and the Oktoberfest was a festive way to celebrate
the German heritage of the parish.

Thanks to devotees of Saint Theresa at Immaculate Heart of Mary who organized lovely devotions in her
honor. In particular, thanks to all who made pierogi, which went like hotcakes, as well as the other
goodies that were served at the reception. Thanks, also, to those who decorated the Saint Theresa altar.

It is the dedication of so many volunteers that allow these wonderful things to take place in our parishes. If
you’re interested in helping out in any way, please let us know.

INSTALLATION OF THE CLERGY TEAM OCTOBER 26, 2019
Bishop Zubik will be present at the 4:30 p.m. Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary on Saturday, October 26,
2019 to formally install our clergy team for service in our parishes. We invite parishioners from all four
parishes to attend this Mass for the installation ceremony. In particular, the staff and pastoral and finance
council members are asked to attend this celebration since they play an important role into the life of our
parishes.

Even with this special celebration, the regular Saturday evening Mass schedule will be maintained, with
visiting priests celebrating the 4:00 p.m. Mass at Saint Stanislaus and the 5:00 p.m. Mass at Saint Nicholas.

TOWN HALL MEETINGS
Town hall meetings will be held in each of our parishes in order to share the hopes for our parishes and to
hear your thoughts, ideas, and concerns so that we can create a common vision for the Shrines of Pittsburgh.

The town hall meetings will take place as follows:
Monday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m. Most Holy Name of Jesus Church
Tuesday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. Immaculate Heart of Mary Church
Monday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. Saint Nicholas Church
Tuesday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. Saint Stanislaus Church

Please consider attending one of these meetings. The more input and participation we have will allow for a
greater variety of perspectives and will help give us the best picture possible of our parishes.

God bless!
