Shredder Applications

Cutting Chamber | The ST-50 is available in two cutting chamber sizes, 1,016 mm x 533mmand 1,270 mm x 533 mm, allowing for greater flexibility when loading bulky materials.

Drive System | The ST-50 shredder is availablewith electric or hydraulic drives. The standardelectric drive options include two 15 kW or 18.5 kW gear reduced motors.

Knives | Shred-Tech Engineers design each knife profile and configuration to suit the materialfor maximum throughputs and optimum shred size.

Control System | The ST-50 control panel, designed by certified Shred-Tech technicians, fea-tures illuminated function buttons, keyed power switch, fused lockable disconnect, hourmeterand a programmable logic controller for shredder functions including knife reversal overload.

Hopper and Stands | Quality is evident in theworkmanship of Shred-Tech’s extra heavy dutystand and hopper. As an option, the stand and hopper can be modified to suit the applicationor installation.

Hex Shafts | The unique design of the machined hex shafts maximizes knife placementoptions and allows for easy knife removal and machine maintenance. Size for size the hexshaft is several times stronger than a keyed shaft. The Shred-Tech hex shaft drive systemoffers the highest knife tip force of any equivalent shredder on the market.

Maintenance | Several design refinements have been incorporated into the ST-50shredder to increase ease of maintenance and shredder durability. False walls at eitherend of the cutting chamber provide excellent bearing and seal protection. Sectionalcleaning fingers, which are removable from the top, and a light weight door ensurecutting chamber disassembly is quick and easy. Bearing and seal replacement is easilycompleted without the need for gearbox disassembly.
