PERIMETER INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEMS
As far as the protection of flats, villas and buildings in general is concerned, indoor perimeter intrusion detection systems represent the latest – and often the only – defensive line. Since they are perimeter systems, they can detect any attempted break-in while the intruder is still outside the target building.
Like all the security devices, indoor detectors must be accurate and reliable, minimizing nuisance alarm rate and system maintenance. DEA Security's products can offer these guarantees thanks to their exclusive detection technology, the quality of their components and the use of technical solutions developed over years of research, development and tests in the field.
The indoor intrusion detectors produced by DEA Security are grouped into two families:
• SERIE A03, seismic detectors with relevant analysis electronic boards;• SERIE SPC/SPR, seismic detectors with built-in electronics.
DEA Security also produces a complete range of outdoor perimeter detection systems with high-level performance and reliability:

SERIE A03 is an indoor intrusion detection system for the protection of doors, windows, glazed doors/windows, metal gratings, walls, ceilings and safes against shock, breakthrough and opening. The system is composed of a wide range of seismic sensors and the relevant processing boards.
SERIE A03 sensors do not contain any active electronic components and are connected to their own processing boards which can be calibrated and programmed according to the specific features of the structure to be protected.

THE SENSORSSERIE A03 sensors perceive the vibrations generated by shock or breakthrough events against the structure to be protected.The sensors employ a piezoceramic transducer which produces electric signals if subjected to vibrations. To increase their sensitivity, some models have been provided with a piezodynamic technology which combines the piezoceramic transducer with an inertial mass to amplify the vibrations received by the sensors.
A03B/AS and A03B/MAS-C for windows and doors (piezodynamic)To be installed on window and door frames, one sensor can protect the whole structure, including the glass (if any), from shock and breakthrough events. These two models are also suitable for the protection of armoured structures and ceilings.A03B/MAS-C sensor has the same features as A03B/AS model, but it is also provided with magnetic contact for the protection of the structure against opening.
A03GR for metal gratings (piezoceramic)It protects metal gratings, railings and metal doors against shock and breakthrough. Designed for outdoor applications, the sensor is equipped with a metal housing and the relevant connection cable is protected by flexible metal sheath.
A03AS for walls (piezodynamic)
Suitable for the protection of walls and other structures – such as safes and reinforced cabinets - which require very high detection capability.
A03 for glazed surfaces (piezoceramic)
Suitable for the protection of glazed surfaces, such as shop windows, it detects the break of the glass and its drilling with diamond core bits. Very easy and quick to install, the sensor can be fixed to the glass by means of the double-sided tape supplied with it.

SERIE A03THE PROCESSING BOARDSThe electronic processing boards amplify and process the signals coming from the sensors. Depending on the model, they are provided with either analog or digital regulations to program their functions and their sensitivity levels. Each processing board manages up to 8 piezoceramic sensors or 15 piezodynamic sensors.
SE04/N (digital)This board can be connected to all SERIE A03 sensors and can discriminate the signals produced by three different types of attack against the structure: shock (repeated light shocks), breakthrough (single strong shock), drilling with diamond core bit or other electric device (continuous vibrations). Three trimmers allow you to regulate the detection capability for each type of signal, while the features of the board (event count, reset time, buzzer and thermal expansion filter) are programmed through two dip switches. SE04/N is provided with two balanced lines, one for tamper and the other for opening, and is able to manage the reed switch of A03B/MAS-C sensor.
SE03/N (digital)Same analysis capabilities and technical features as SE04/N model, but provided with one balanced line and without thermal expansion filter.
SE02/N (analog)Analog processing board provided with an NC tamper line and two trimmers to regulate the detection capability and the event count. A typical application is the protection of safes, CCTV cabinets, alarm control panels, external sirens and video camera cases.

THE TECHNOLOGYThe processing boards interpret and analyse the signals perceived by the sensors, discriminating the environmental nuisances and the different intrusion techniques. For each type of alarm signal – light shocks, strong shocks and continuous vibrations – custom sensitivity levels and detection thresholds can be set.
The technology employed in each sensor together with the sophisticated analysis capabilities of the processing boards provide the system with a very high tolerance towards environmental nuisances.
The processing boards can be connected to any type of control panel by means of C/NC relay outputs.

THE SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONWhen planning a security system with SERIE A03 devices, perimeter zoning should take into account that different types of structure may determine a different response of the sensor to the vibrations generated by an intrusion attempt. For that reason the detectors belonging to the same alarm zone must protect structures of the same type, material and dimensions.

SERIE SPC/SPR is a line of seismic sensors for the protection of windows, doors and glazed surfaces against shock, breakthrough and opening. Evolution of the proven SERIE A03 detectors and processing boards, SPC/SPR sensors do not need any separate electronics since they are provided with built-in analyser.
The sensors employ a piezoceramic transducer which produces electric signals if subjected to vibrations. To maximize their sensitivity, some models have been provided with a piezodynamic technology which combines the piezoceramic transducer with an inertial mass to amplify the vibrations received by the sensors.
SERIE SPC/SPR combines in a single device the DEA Security's advanced detection technology with the wide possibilities of configuration and calibration which are provided by separate processing boards in SERIE A03. This allows you to design Point ID systems where each sensor, which corresponds to a single alarm zone, can be calibrated independently from the others.
The detectors can be connected to any type of control panel by means of built-in C/NC relays.

THE SENSORS
SPC01 for doors and windows (piezodynamic, digital)
Designed without compromise, SPC01 sensor offers excellent performance and superior detection capability. The piezodynamic transducer, combined with a microcontroller, provides very high sensitivity, accurate detection and easy calibration. Thanks to its sophisticated detection algorithms, SPC01 discriminates the different types of attacks to the structure: shock, breakthrough and drilling with diamond core bit or other electrical tool.
The sensitivity levels can be calibrated via trimmer while the detector features – event count, reset time and thermal expansion filter – can be configured through a dip switch. SPC01 is provided with integrated alarm memory and detects magnetic tamper, opening of the housing and removal of the sensor.
SPC01M version includes a magnetic contact to signal the opening of the structure.
SPC02 for doors and windows (piezodynamic, analog)
SPC02 is provided with the same technology as SPC01 model, but the piezodynamic transducer is combined with an analog circuit which integrates the alarm memory feature. The sensor detects shock and breakthrough events against the structure as well as the opening of the sensor housing. The sensitivity and the event count can be adjusted using analog trimmers: the adjustment is eased by three LEDs which signal the alarm event, the alarm memory and the detected shocks.
SPC02M version includes a magnetic contact to signal the opening of the structure.

SPC03 for glazed surfaces (piezoceramic, analog)
Provided with piezoceramic transducer, alarm memory and anti-removal device, SPC03 is the most reliable seismic sensor for the glass break detection.Thanks to its digital sensitivity adjustment on four levels, this sensor can be installed on different types of glass, including multi-layer and reinforced glass.
Very easy and quick to install, the sensor is mounted to the glass by means of the double-sided tape supplied with it. The intentional or accidental detachment of the sensor from the glass is immediately detected as tamper alarm.
In SPC03 model the alarm is restored by switching the power supply off, whilst in SPC03E it is automatically restored.
SPR01 for doors and windows (piezodynamic, digital, self-powered)
SPR01 is a seismic sensor which brings DEA Security’s piezodynamic technology into wireless intrusion detection systems. Powered by two lithium batteries, which provide it with a long operation life, this sensor has been specifically designed for being combined with a radio transmitter: it is ideal for integration into wireless intrusion systems.
Sensitivity can be adjusted via trimmer and the event count can be programmed through a dip switch. Two status LEDs, one for alarm and the other for shock detection, may be deactivated to maximize the duration of the batteries.
SPR01M version includes a magnetic contact to signal the opening of the structure.

INSTALLATIONSERIE SPC01 and SPC02 sensors are installed on door or window frames. Thanks to their high sensitivity, they can protect the entire structure, including the glazed surfaces.
SPC03 has been specifically designed for glass break detection. The sensor is fixed to the glazed surface, working properly with any inclination and orientation.
SPR01 has almost the same features as SPC01 model but can be combined with a radio transmitter (not included). Like SPC01 and SPC02, SPR01 is fixed to the frame of the structure.
