“Career Advancement Scheme” for Award of
Professor’s Pay Scale to the Associate Professors
General Instructions for filling the Application Form :-
1. An Academic Officer having Ph.D. and minimum eight years of service as Associate Professor is eligible to apply for awarding ‘CAS’ in the scale of
Professor.
2. Applicant has to furnish the information in the Annexures enclosed herewith
alongwith documentary evidences with the approval and verification by the
Competent Authority.
3. Information shall be furnished only for the period of EIGHT YEARS, before
the due date of award of pay scale of Professor under ‘Career Advancement
Scheme’, at the FIRST INSTANCE and in case of non-selection, successive
EIGHT YEARS before the subsequent due date. Following example will
elucidate this point.
Example :-a) Date of appointment as Associate Professor 27.12.1995
b) Candidate acquired Ph. D. degree 17.08.1995
c) Completed eight years of service as Associate

4. The Registrar of the University shall countersign each Page/Annexure in
token of authentication and verification of the information.
5. All the pages of the proposal shall be serially numbered and appropriate
numbers shall be mentioned in the last column of the proformae given under
each Annexure and also in the INDEX of the proposal.
6. The applicant has to submit the complete proposal in TRIPLICATE.7. Applicant has to appear before the Selection Committee for interview
alongwith the following documents :
(a) Self Apprisal Report in TEN copies
(b) Research contribution/books/articles published.
(c) Any other academic contribution(s).
(d) Seminar(s)/Conference(s) attended.
(e) Contribution(s) to teaching / academic environment / institutional
corporate life etc.
(f) Extension and field outreach activities.
Note : Candidate shall not include photographs of the dignitories.
