Water ACE : The framework
• The objective is to Build and Valorise the African Water Knowledge
• EC Contribution: AQUAKNOW Platform = Web-based information system for Virtual Communication, Knowledge Management and Training on-line.

AXE 1 Supporting the development of regional networks
Framework will be based around 3 Big Axes or Land Marks of the Water – ACE
• Optimising competences and knowledge sharing in the frame of an open network (southern and West Africa)
• The network should address governance and policy issues:
=> being a technical and scientific adviser e.g in SWAPs, to AMCOW -TAC
• Information dissemination at Regional BUT also at Continental level• EC Contribution: EU Guidelines for Water Management that should become “a base for the African Water Guidelines”• EC - ESA Contribution: TIGER = Support through Call for Proposals – Capacity Building, Data, Software

• Identifying JOINT “Strong Points” and “Weaknesses” of the CoE
