• Improving the system of instruction that will reflect a more accurate picture of Mindanao

• Undertaking social and scientific researches that support the region’s development needs.
• Research in aid of policy and decision-making
• Produce more graduates that can serve the human resources needs of the key industries.
• Extension services: convey research-based knowledge to communities
• Build and sustain a strong Mindanao-focused scientific and R&D community and culture
• Unite in the establishment of a Mindanao Knowledge, Research and Policy Center.
