GPA – GRADE POINT AVERAGE
GPA stands for Grade Point Average
Each letter grade you receive on your report card is assigned a value, known as a grade point.
Cumulative GPA is the average of all your grade points, for each class you have taken during high school.
There are two types of GPA, unweighted and weighted.
GPA – GRADE POINT AVERAGE
Highest Value is 4.0
Unweighted GPA Highest
Value is 6.0
Weighted GPA
Colleges will look at both types of GPA during admission, but each college will have it’s own acceptable GPA range! However, many community colleges do not require specific GPA’s.
