What is Scamnesty?Friends Against Scams is running a Scamnesty (a scam mailing amnesty) Campaign
throughout December. The team want to encourage everyone in the UK to have a chat with
their loved ones about scams and to send in any scam or unwanted mail into the team, free
of charge!
What can you do to support?• From 3rd December 2020, please schedule the posts in this pack on your social media
platforms
• Be sure to include #ScamAware and #Scamnesty in all posts
• Feel free to amend posts to suit your own company's branding and tone but please keep
the main content consistent
• Please share this pack within your organisation and encourage your employees,
volunteers and colleagues to have a chat with their family about scams
• Please share this pack with any 3rd party partners and organisations that you work with
to help spread the message
Main messagingThe message for this campaign is to encourage the general public to send in their scam mail
to the team for investigation (following Government guidelines around COVID-19). The
freepost address can be found on the website after visitors have read the privacy policy.
