NEW DELHI, Mar 30:

Senior bureaucrat ChandraBhushan Kumar has beenappointed as Deputy ElectionCommissioner as part of a majorbureaucratic reshuffle effectedtoday by the Government.

A total of 13 officers have

been appointed as joint secre-taries in different CentralGovernment departments.

Bhushan, a 1995 batch IASofficer of union territories cadre,has been appointed to the postfor five years, an order issued bythe Department of Personneland Training (DoPT) said.

S K Shahi and KrishnaBahadur Singh have beenappointed as joint secretaries inHome Ministry. Shahi is aCentral Secretariat Service(CSS) officer and Singh belongsto Indian Forest Service (IFoS).

IAS officer Vineet Joshi hasbeen made Director General of

the National Testing Agencyunder the Department of HigherEducation, the order said.

Anurag Agarwal, at presentworking as Joint Secretary in theDepartment of EconomicAffairs, has been moved to theMinistry of Corporate Affairs inthe same capacity, it said.

Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey willbe Joint Secretary in theDepartment of Revenue and RaviKota has been named JS, theFifteenth Finance Commission.

IAS officer B Kishore,presently working as JointSecretary, Department ofAnimal Husbandry, Dairyingand Fisheries, will be JointSecretary in Department ofAgriculture, Cooperation andFarmers Welfare, the order said.

E Ramesh Kumar has beenappointed in Kishore's place in theAnimal Husbandry Department.

Samir Kumar and NitishwarKumar have been appointedjoint secretaries in Ministry ofDrinking Water and Sanitation,it said.(PTI)
