BACKGROUND • Indirect immunofluorescence (IF) assay on HEp2 cells is the gold standard for
antinuclear antibodies (ANA) determination, essential markers for the diagnostic
of connective tissue diseases. However this method is time-consuming, operator-
dependent, and lacks of reproducibility as well as standardization.
• Automated reading of IF provides solutions to maximize efficiency, reduces
reading-subjectivity, attenuates intra- and inter-laboratory variabilities and
opens the access of standardization.
APPLICATIONS
Accreditation process / Full automation / Autoimmune exploration
KEY BENEFITS vs. STATE OF THE ART
• ICARE is the only system that is compatible with all manufacturer’s slides
• ICARE is validated and shows high performances even for weak positive samples
ABOUT OUR TECHNOLOGY
• This new technology has been developed by a multidisciplinary team biologists in
medical laboratory of immunology, experts in fundamental immunology and
image analysis with both academic and clinical skills.
• Original algorithm based on the acquisition of a double fluorescence signal and
the obtaining of a fluorescence index. The automated reading is a two steps
process:
1. Quantitative screening of positive and negative
samples with high discriminating level
2. Aspect identification

BACKGROUND
CELL ID is a unique software solution for high content cellular imaging. It enables
accurate statistical analysis on large scale cells or biological tissues databases.
Off-the-shelf HCS platforms and automated microscopes daily capture and store
thousands of pictures. However, downstream, cell classification is mostly done by
human eye and brain (expert biologists) – a time-consuming and poorly
reproducible task.
Developed by experts in classification algorithms in close cooperation with
biologists, CELL ID overcomes such limitations, offering the practitioner an
automated supervised classification. The solution operates in three steps:
APPLICATIONS

Few solutions are available today. On the one hand, one finds basic classifiers
with limited settings and/or providing poorly reliable results. On the other hand,
stands a powerful but highly complex tool.
CELL ID differentiates through:
• Automated/tunable algorithmic parameters
• Real-time segmentation
• Supervised classification with ROC curves

KEY BENEFITS vs. STATE OF THE ART Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) microscopy is a new technology which allows imaging – without labeling or staining - of specific molecular bonds of chemical species present in cells and tissues. SRS is usually considered as an artifact free technique which is an important feature in its favor.
The charts below (experiment on human tissue) clearly demonstrate that SRS exhibits artifacts in the amide (C=O and N-H bonds) and fingerprint regions. This is a major issue when imaging through scattering medium as tissues.
SRGOLD is an artifact free SRS technique based on off-the-shelf equipment that provides:
Artifact free imaging of molecular bonds of chemical species present in cells and tissues in the whole spectra from the fingerprint to the lipid-protein regions.
Enhancement (x2) of signal intensity.
Enhancement of molecular contrast in scattering medium

MULTIMODALITY
BACKGROUND
Nowadays, discovering the correspondence relationships among images captured
by various sensors corresponding to different modalities is a major issue.
Similar Imaging can estimate the correct alignments related to collections of
images captured by various sensors corresponding to different modalities (radar,
optical, etc…).
Spatial information by means of 2D clouds of points is extracted from each image
and a matching process is performed taking into account the remote sensing
context.
Considering which parts of the images are strongly related, the matching process
is refined in order to get a more robust and accurate way to perform the global
registration.
KEY BENEFITS vs STATE OF THE ART
• Applies to any pair of modalities without knowledge of these modalities
• Takes into account the specificity of the remote sensing context
• Gives a score that estimates the similarity of 2 regions
• Can detect false alarms during results compiling
• Performs a robust and accurate approach

• Satellite/aerial images analysis
• Remote sensing
• Computer vision for robotics

BACKGROUND
Available methods for the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea/hyponea require
multiple sensors to be placed on the patients’ face, particularly an invasive nasal
cannula, therefore disturb the patients’ sleep and alter the diagnosis.
To circumvent these issues, we offer a simple and contactless diagnosis-
monitoring method and device that are based on sensors of both the oral and
nasal respiratory flows and do not hamper the patients moves during sleep.

BACKGROUND
Acting as an actual sixth sense, proprioception is the perception of the position
(statesthesia: postural sensitivity) and movement (kinesthesia: movement
sensitivity) of segments in space without visual information. Proprioceptive
impairment affects functional joint stability, therefore the risk of injury.

KEY BENEFITS vs. EXISTING
PROP SCORE is a polyarticulated ergometer
driven by an acquisition and treatment
software, which delivers the proprioceptive
status of a joint (upper or lower limbs).
An algorithm combines statesthesia and
kinesthesia, and delivers the proprioceptive
"score" of the patient.
A report is formalized according to gender,
age, sport practice, medical history of the
patient and following normative or its own
data.

The tissue dilation induced by pulse
laser illumination generates ultrasound
waves that are detected by
transducers. By using low scattered
microwaves for excitation, PAT/TAT
allows deep tissue imaging (several
cm) with a good optical imaging
resolution (below mm).
However, current approaches require
multiple acquisitions and downstream
complex processing to locate targets,
e.g. a tumors.
MAMMOSCAN overcomes this issue
through a smarter use of marginal
signals, cf hereafter.
