Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Lord, Stations of the Cross and Benediction this week: Wednesday, March 18 at 2:15 in the Church; Friday, March 20 at 2:15 in the Church only.
Chapel will be closed during the Novena March 17-25, Exposition will be in the Church Monday through Friday. LENT IS HERE. This year in addition to our two daily Masses and Stations of the Cross we will have a Solemn Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal leading up to and including the Solemnity of the Annunciation of Our Lord, March 25, nine months prior to Christmas. Father Michael Callaghan, Director of the National Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, in Germantown section of Philadelphia, will be with us and preach each of these days. The Novena Prayers will be prayed at the 8:30 morning Mass, all of the weekend Masses, and again at a special evening Mass each day at 7 PM including Saturday and Sunday. Plan to be part of this wonderful opportunity to honor our Blessed Mother and her gift of the Miraculous Medal and pray for your special intentions during this opportunity of grace. I am also delighted that the Shepherds of the Holy Land will be with us during the Novena with their wonderful olive wood devotional items from the Holy Lands. The interest in these was sensational at the time of their last visit with us. Plan to keep March 17 to the 25 marked in your calendars so as to not miss this Spiritual opportunity. +jcd

See how nature, the trees, the flowers, the grasses grow in perfect silence….see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. The more we receive in silent
prayer, the more we can give in our active life.” - Mother Teresa of Calcutta You have a special hour of silence waiting for you, CALL Diane Pease at 610-363-9391

St. Agnes Easter Dinner Project 2020 St. Agnes Outreach Services assists people in need in the great-er West Chester area. The Easter Dinner Project provides East-er hams & produce for families struggling to make ends meet. Last year, approximately 300 families benefited from your gen-erosity. To participate, you can purchase a ham or send a mone-tary donation for produce and other food items. If you would like to provide a ham for a local family in need, you can pur-chase a ham at one of these participating supermarkets: Shop Rite - West Chester; Giant - Exton, Westtown, Bradford Plaza, Boot Road, Chadds Ford & Frazer. PLEASE NOTE: Do not buy hams for this project from Wegmans this year. You will simply need to pay for the ham at checkout and drop it off at the customer service desk. The supermarket will keep the ham until the morning of pick-up for distribution at St. Agnes. Hams must be purchased by Sunday, April 5, 2020. Also, they must have a SELL BY date of April 15th or later and must not have been frozen. For planning purposes, it is important that we have a count of hams that will be donated. If you plan to par-ticipate either by purchasing a ham from Shop Rite or Giant or by making a monetary donation, please sign up online at https://tinyurl.com/vq2j6km or contact Maria DiMarco at [email protected] or 484-888-5368 by Sunday, April 5th. Checks may be sent, payable to SSPJ with notation in the memo HAM.
