Saiful is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, UPM. His area of focus is on public speaking and debating. Saiful’s passion for debating is reflected in his PhD candidacy, consultancy work and writing.
Besides serving UPM and The Debating News as a Columnist, Saiful has been developing and coaching debates for 15 years for the UPM debate team as well as for various schools around the Klang Valley e.g. Sekolah Alam Shah.

COURSE CONTENT
‘Debatecraft’ is a 2-day workshop. It is divided into two components; debate by character and debate by competence. It involves both linguistic and communicative theories and fun games / activities in developing debaters’ confidence and ability to present a persuasive speech and effectively communicate ideas and argumentations in the context of a debate competition.
Since this is a skill-based course, intensive practice and presentations are required.
