Example of A Safe System
Road traffic collisions used to be described as road traffic accidents but were renamed because the word accident implies it was no ones fault. All traffic collisions and incidents are caused by a break down of the safe system and more often than not it is the safe practise not being followed which is the cause.

Example of A Safe System
Do you adhere to the safe system? When was the last time you checked the road worthiness of your vehicle including tyre condition, fluid levels, lights, steering, horn? Safe System calls for everyday you use it.When was the last time you reported a pot hole you noticed?Safe system calls for improper road conditions to be reported to local council by the road user.
What about speed, distance, indication, alertness, improper use of lights (flashing as a signal)?
