Fred ran an after
school club this
term creating
musical
instruments with
the children out
of scrap. We
thought it would
be nice if they
shared their
instruments and
performed a little
piece in the
Tuesday morning
assembly. Press

Today it was Nursery Class turn to share all the lovely things they have been learning in class with
the school and with their parents and relatives. It was so impressive how they had the confidence
to stand up in front of a packed audience and deliver their lines so clearly and loudly. It was also
impressive to see how lovely their artwork was, their singing and movement was great fun and
they organised themselves extremely well. It was a shame not to see a few children who have
fallen foul to chicken pox, but we wish them all the best and hope they return to school soon fit
and well. Press here to see a recording of the assembly. Thank you to Mica, Jay, Shirley, Cassie
and Kerry for putting this lovely assembly together and extra special thank you to the children for
being such stars.

On Monday, children from Years 1 to 4 headed over
to the Stratford Picturehouse to take part in the annual
London Youth Film Awards organised and hosted by
our Media Studies teacher Paul. As you know, the
children at school are often making short films as are
other London schools, so the event was a celebration
of movie making with youngsters. They watched not
only their own films but shorts that other schools had
produced which culminated in the awards ceremony.
Were delighted that one of our movies won Dollys
documentary. Here is the winning video for you to see.
Well done to all the schools who got involved!
Student Voice chose Alannah this week to grill.
Alannah has been a stalwart in the office forming
lovely relationships with the children and her
infectious laugh cracks up all the staff!
They asked:
1) What is your favourite part of the job?
Talking to everyone in school.
2) What is your hobby?
Netball and travelling.
3) What is your favourite song and why?
Six60 Dont Forget Your Roots because it
reminds me of home (New Zealand).
4) What is your fondest memory of RW so far?
The Summer Fete and Family Days which
are always fun.
5) What was the funniest thing that has
happened to you?
Bumping into Harry Styles in Hoxton Street!
Last Saturday the Parents Network at Rosemary
Works School hosted their annual Family Fun Day
to a packed group of parents, grandparents and
children. Safari Pete returned to entertain and
educate the children with his animals, there was
face painting, and lots of baked goodies and
sandwiches, and the drinks flowed aplenty!
It was a lovely afternoon with a wonderful
atmosphere, happy children, some sozzled
parents and top-notch organisation from the
parents network. Special thanks to Jim, Matt,
Michelle, Alannah, Ross, Lora, Kathryn, Kate,
Mette and everyone who did their bit to make
this afternoon so special. Press here for more.

This week, Im delighted to see that all classes received

is Easter coming soon, they all won a little Easter egg for
their efforts as did the prize winners and every child took
away a little Easter treat for being so hard working and
lovely this term. Well done to all!
Our Artists of the Week went to Rudy in Nursery Class for his
beautiful drawing of his favourite animal as seen in the
assembly. Lovely stuff Rudy!
The Media Star of the Week went to Alexis in Year 1. Paul
wrote: I loved your account of the recent school trip to the
film awards event. You concentrated and
followed instructions well and produced one of your best
pieces of writing, there was so much detail! It was great to
see you as the 'Enormous Crocodile' on the big screen also,
well done for your acting and delivery of your lines. Your
confidence is really growing!
