Hello, Rocky Mountain District! My
name is Heather Farley, and I am from the New
York district. I'm so thrilled to officially introduce
myself to you all as your new International
Trustee. This year I will be serving the Southwest,
Rocky Mountain, and Michigan districts.
My job as an International Trustee, along
with voting and working with my committees, is
to support and serve as a liaison to three districts
in Key Club International- mine being the
Southwest, Rocky Mountain, and Michigan
districts. Governor Zackery and I will be
communicating regularly in order to reap the most
success out of this service year for your district.
I have many goals for this coming year,
but one of the main ones is to be accessible to you
all. Feel free to email me, text me, call me, or
reach out to me through social media. My contact
information is at the bottom of this email. As a
Trustee, my job is to support you and be a
resource, in any way possible. Please feel free to
ask me for anything that you feel would help you
do your job as a board member, I'm open to
anything!
Additionally, I would love it if you all
would email me and inform me of something you
would like to see from me this year. It can be very
general or very specific- whatever you deem fit. I
would like to see what I can be of help with, so
that I can best tailor myself to your district.
Thank you so much everyone, I cannot
wait to serve the Rocky Mountain district this
year!
Yours in service,
Heather Farley

Rodriguez, your District Secretary, and I am so

the amazing service projects and events that
will be done this year by none other than the
incredible Rocky Mountain District, you guys!

whether it’s because it’s you’re first year in
Key Club or your last it will be a year to
remember.
I am so honored to be part of such an
amazing district that is full of different people
that share the same core value- service. I, along
with the rest of the executive board, would
love to hear from you guys, so if you ever need
anything please just shoot me an email and I
will answer as quickly as I can!
Let’s hear it for an amazing year! R-O-

Kiwanis Birthday Bash, and ballgame & fireworks.
Day 4: Workshops and closing ceremonies
CONVENTION RECAP
by: Justin Moritz & Elise Hillbrand
A new international president and vice president were
elected, as well as a new board of trustees -
Rip Livingston, 2015-16 International President
Addie Clipfell, 2015-16 International Vice President
And three new bylaws were passed -
#1: Two Key Clubs can’t exist in the same school.
#2 & 3: Webmaster is a recognized club and district
level officer position.
This year I was fortunate enough to attend my second and last
ICON in Indianapolis and I am so glad I was able to spend it with
Key Club, CKI, and Kiwanis. All three came together to celebrate
not only Key Club, but the 100th anniversary of Kiwanis and seeing
the difference they have done through the years. Meeting new
people from different districts is always the best part of the
convention since everyone is so friendly and eager to make new
friends. ICON showcases how passionate Key Clubbers and how
large we really are. Barb Fuller, the Assistant District Administrator,
always plans the best district tour for the attendees and is always
the highlight of the whole trip. I recommend everyone to try and
attend ICON because it is an incredible experience that you will
never forget.
– Brayan Rodriguez
My ICON experience was one that I'll cherish for the rest of my life in the
Kiwanis family. Being a senior, I've spent four years of my life loving Key
Club and everything about it, but I wasn't aware of the impact
International Convention would have on me as a leader. Sure, I
received my Lt. Governor Training and went to a whole bunch of
workshops, but those weren't the moments that mattered most to me.
Spending time with other Key Clubbers, Circle K members, and
Kiwanians made me remember the most important part about Key
Club: service. Throughout convention, I met people with unique
service ideas and saw ways that my home community could
further our impact. At DCON, you get a taste of what other service
projects are like, but at ICON you get the full sundae including service
ideas all the way from Jamaica. I would recommend ICON to any Key
Clubber because it makes you see what is really being done through
our K Family. Key Club is just one branch of this organization and I think
by going to Indianapolis, I started to see the whole tree and what
caused its roots to grow.
