under the supervision of ExxonMobils Global Organization for
the Advancement of Latinos (GOAL).This event took place on
September 15, 2011 and it consisted of a presentation followed
by a back to school barbeque. The presentation was titled 2030:
Engineering and your Career and it covered topics such as an
ExxonMobil Introduction, Energy Outlook, and Career

Decembers Regional NewsChapter of The Month: University of Texas, Austin
The semester is coming to a close, but SHPE at the University of
Texas plans to finish strong and to continue building upon the
great accomplishments for the following semester. With Their
minds set to making a difference, their members have been
working hard these past couple of months. From classes, tests,
homework, and research, They are still committed to make an
impact in the community. Their efforts are evidently showcased
as They recently received the 2010-11 Regional Outstanding
Chapter of the Year. The eagerness to prosper is also notable intheir fellow members who have participated in past events such
as the Texas Science and Engineering Festival, Race for the Cure,
Engineering Day at the Museum, and Shadow Day, where High
School students followed our members around to get a taste of a
typical college day. This year they also hosted the yearly match
up against Texas A&M. Between constant involvements, they
never leave behind their focus on academics and goal to
succeed.
