Soviets Jews began immigrating to Israel in the late 1960s and early 1970s.In the mid 1970s many of them decided to come to United states instead of
Israel.As soon as the person left Soviet Union they would wait go to Italy instead of Israel. There they waited for permission from the United State to enter
into the country.In the mid 1980s most of Soviet immigration stopped. The soviet government
would not let anyone leave.
