MINING LANDS SECTION
November 20, 1984
INTRODUCTION
A magnetic survey was carried out for Dome
Exploration (Canada) Limited on Project 244 in March,
1984 with additional work completed on September 14, 1984.
The property consists of 44 unpatented
mining claims numbered as follows: KRL 775423 to KRL
775433 inclusive; KRL 775453 to KRL 775484 inclusive;
and KRL 775504 0 The claims are located on both sides
of Leg Lake in the southeast corner of Earngey Township.
They are in N. T. S. 52-N-2. Access to the claim group
was by fixed-wing aircraft approximately 9Okms east of
Red Lake, Ontario* The purpose of the survey was to
identify magnetic environments that appear to be
conducive for gold mineralization.
INSTRUMENTATION AND METHOD
The magnetic survey was carried out with two
Scintrex MP-2 proton magnetometers and one Geometrics
G 826. Diurnal corrections were accomplished using a
GMG MR 10 with a Barringer magnetometer as base-
station recording equipment.
A technical data sheet accompanies this report.
RESULTS
A number of magnetically high zones were
- 2 -
located by the magnetic survey. In general, these
features are long and linear, trend roughly northeast
and are as a rule narrow. This trend parallels the trend
of the volcanics and reflects the varying magnetite
content of the various geologic units*
Magnetic relief averages approximately 7*000
gammas above a background of approximately 60,000 gamma.
There are isolated peaks up to 21 t OOO gammas above
background.
The location of some of the more significant
zones is as follows:
(1) Line 18 S, ^EOO to line 3 S, 7E50. A possible
extension of this zone lies along the ends of the lines
from line 1 N, 9EOp to line 16 N, 10EOO.
(2) Line 19 S, 1E50 to line 5 S, OW50. This feature
f continues with a significant change in strike to E-W
from line 3 S, ONOO to line 1 N, 3E25. This geological
feature may warrant further investigation,
l (3) Line 17 S, 3W75 to line 1 S, 3W50 to line
7 N, 4WOO.
J (4) Line 5 N, 1EOO to line 16 N, 1E50.
l•M Further investigation of these magnetic
l
l
l
REG OMMENDATIONS
- 3 -
features should be carried out after evaluating their
geological setting. The portion of the zone that strikes
E-l/ warrants special consideration.

Notice of Intent
for Technical Reports
1985 01 04
2.7541/81-84
An examination of your survey report indicates that the requirements of The Ontario Mining Act have not been fully met to warrant maximum assessment work credits. This notice is merely a warning that you will not be allowed the number of assessment work days credits that you expected and also that in approximately 15 days from the above date, the mining recorder will be authorized to change the entries on his record sheets to agree with the enclosed statement. Please note that until such time as the recorder actually changes the entry on the record sheet, the status of the claim remains unchanged.
If you are of the opinion that these changes by the mining recorder will jeopardize your claims, you may during the next fifteen days apply to the Mining and Lands Commissioner for an extension of time. Abstracts should be sent with your application.
If the reduced rate of credits does not jeopardize the status of the claims then you need not seek relief from the Mining and Lands Commissioner and this Notice of Intent may be disregarded.
If your survey was submitted and assessed under the "Special Provision-Performance and Coverage" method and you are of the opinion that a re-appraisal under the "Man-days" method would result in the approval of a greater number of days credit per claim, you may, within the said fifteen day period, submit assessment work breakdowns listing the employees names, addresses and the dates and hours they worked. The new work breakdowns should be submitted direct to the Land Management Branch, Toronto. The report will be re-assessed and a new statement of credits based on actual days worked will be issued.
