REAL FATHERS INITIATIVE BOOT CAMP

On October 16, 2012, REAl Fathers Initiative held its  1st Annual Boot Camp at Geminus Corporation.  The event was open to the public.  

The boot camp focused on providing resources and tools to assist fathers in the areas of parenting, forming healthier relationships with their children, and extended families.  A variety of speakers were offered at the event including: 

Nicholas Neal, Program Manager for REAl Fathers Initiative who spoke on “What it means to be a Responsible DAD,” keynote speaker Pastor Todd Matchett from Living Hope Church in Merrillville, Nate George from Infinity Consulting presented on Infant Care, and Karyn Boswell, Lake County Child Support Director,  spoke on "The Ins and Outs of the Child Support System."

REAL Fathers Initiative staff provided breakout sessions on various topics from stress management, to learning how to keep up with your child physically, mentally, electronically, and spiritually.
