Imaginaya is a Hit at Beau Rivage

BILOXI, MS – Beau Rivage’s new high-energy production show Imaginaya,Russian for “imagine,” is a hit and will run through June 24 in the newlyrenovated 1,550-seat Beau Rivage Theatre. This is by far the best cirque

show we've seen at Beau Rivage yet. Co-created by Terry Burden, Beau Rivage’s vicepresident of entertainment and Russia’s top choreographer Alla Duhova, Imaginayafeatures performances by the Russian circus and Russian dance company, Todes. Acounterpart of the Russian ballet, Todes exhibits the finest in Russian estrada, or stagedancing. Estrada mixes styles, bends conventions, and combines everything from folkand hip-hop to jazz and classical forms in a spectacular display of athleticism and grace.

Imaginaya is the first production show to take center stage since the Beau RivageTheatre completed its transformation earlier this year. The 75-minute productionfeatures a cast of 52 Russian performers. There’s action every second with spectaculartrapeze, slinky and bungee acts, precision acrobatic artistry, sensual well-choreo-graphed dance routines, and comedic interludes by some of Europe’s most recognizedclowns and characters. State-of-the-art lighting combines with rhythmic music toheighten the theatrical experience even more.

“The acts have all been handpicked and the style of dancing in Imaginaya is unlikeanything you see in the states,” said Terry Burden. “Alla Duhova is an icon - undeniablythe most respected and sought-after choreographer in Russia - and this show is atestament to her amazing eye for perfection.”

Duhova operates 32 dance schools and studios throughout Russia, Bulgaria,Lithuania, Latvia, the Ukraine, and other former countries formerly part of the SovietUnion. After tours through China and Monte Carlo, Todes will make the Beau RivageTheatre home in its only United States appearance.

“I am thrilled to bring some of the world’s most talented dancers to perform in sucha beautiful theater,” said Alla Duhova. “What we bring to audiences from the stage isenergy. It is a fusion of a lot of different kinds of modern dance. We take the best of

everything: jazz, mod-ern, hip-hop and putit all together.”
