Reflection Paper on the movie “Life is Beautiful”
“Life is Beautiful” is indeed a beautiful movie. The movie portrayed a Jewish family in
the struggling time of the 2nd world war. They were held in a concentration camp to work against
their will. In spite the struggles of Guido in the concentration camp, he always saw something
positive and shared his positivity with others, especially his son. He even came to a point to trick
his son about the concentration camp of being one full of fun and games with its highest reward
being a true tank. Guido was also very clever and witty. He was different but in a good way. His
way of thinking made everything fall into place like he knew what was going to happen. A true
master of manipulation. His situation for him and his son to witness was very challenging but in
spite of this, he still managed to smile and make his son and wife happy at the end. The movie
made one thing clear and that is that being happy is a choice. It all depends on how you accept a
situation and how you will react to it. It also pointed out that in some situations the best answers
come from thinking outside the box.
