About Rajasthan In its early days Rajasthan was known as the Rajputana.Known by several names like the Land of Colours, Land of Kings, Land of

Palaces and Forts etc. Rajasthan is the most popular tourist destination among travellers from

around the globe. Its roots belong to the great Rajput clan and its ancient heritage has been

preserved till date.Situated geographically on the West of India the Land of Camels covers an

area of 3,42,274 sq. km. Rajasthan shares its borders with Punjab and Haryana in the north, on the

east lie U.P. and M.P. Gujarat shares its borders on the south and on the west lies Pakistan.
