• They ate grains, fruits, vegetables, and fish. Meat was only eaten on special occasions

• Egyptians believed they could overcome death• Life on earth led to an afterlife where they
would enjoy everything they loved in life• Those who lived good lives would live forever
but those who were sinful would be destroyed

• Poor people were buried in the desert – the hot sand dried bodies out quickly
